The scenery and fellow travelers were a plus. The path includes pretty flat paths for handicapped, some steep ones for a better view of the river, and bike side trails.

Finding the trail head was more difficult than anticipated, I would recommend making sure you have exact direction and not depend only on a map as some of the roads do not connect as shown on maps. The hike to the falls takes about 30 minutes or so from the parking area and is very easy, many mountain bikers were... More

The community paved the path from Sunriver to Benham Falls - every smooth and scenic. Great for people of all ages and abilities. Great views of the falls.

This was a great way to spend the day. We started out at the Village in Sunriver and road on paved paths all the way to the trail head. Then on the dirt trail out out to the falls (white water) it was beautiful. Then we continued on to the Meadow where there was a picnic area. It was about... More

This a Class 5+ or 6 waterfall (the "do not run, unless, and maybe even if you are an expert" type) and the 10-15 minute walk to the falls is worth the trip. People have run it and survived, and it was entertaining for me to try to pick out a route that would work. But the reasons for this... More

This is a super easy, wide trail that even small children can do. You will start with fairly still waters and as you walk, you'll hear the powerful falls. If that's not enough, there's plenty of trail to follow after the falls.

Just a short trip out from Lava Lands (if you bring a mountain bike park at Lava Lands and ride out). Nice walk out to the falls along the Deschutes River. Relatively flat - wouldn't be a bad walk with kids. Beautiful setting. Fun afternoon.

We were going to check out the lava cave but found out when we got there it was closed on Wednesday. We found this hike on tripadvisor and decided to check it out. It was so worth it! The falls are stunning! We hiked but the path is paved so it's bike friendly too. It is a pretty short hike... More

Pretty setting, but had a lot of ice on the trail the time of year that I went. More rapids than falls. Nice walk along the river after you leave the falls.
