There are a number of ways to get to the trail head. You can drive to the park, although there is limited parking and it does require a National Park permit, or you can ride from Sunriver or Lava Butte. The trail is easy walking or riding after a 200 yard rocky trail from the bridge. Great views and sounds... More

The hike along Deschutes River between Benham Falls and Dillon Falls is fantastic. Constantly taking pictures of white water as it pours over rocks or fallen trees.

Actually the third of three hikes we made in one day. Short and pleasant. Good for those that don't hike a lot but want to get out.

This is a lovely trail to one of our favorite spots; it's great when there's not enough time for a longer trek.

Great bike ride from Sunriver. Continue on to Lava Lands for more than 20 miles of paved path in great condition, not very steep.

Great little hike. It wasn't a planned trip for us so my flip flops were not my friend. We didn't do the entire trek but we did get to view how beautiful the rapids were. Next time we will load up on good shoes and maybe our bicycles.

Our family entourage took a hike to Benham Falls and loved the view but not the bugs. The Deschutes River flows quickly but gently through the meadows at Sunriver but turns into a violent torrent in its descent through the edge of the lava fields just north of there. The trail itself is easy access by bike or on foot... More

This is a very easy trail to walk, with beautiful views of the Descutes and the falls. We rarely miss it on our trips to Central Oregon.

We parked and walked the 2 1/2 miles in. It was my husband 11 and seven-year-old not knowing what we were getting into it was a pretty easy walk on a paved trail except the last .5 mile you are on dirt. we have a lot of people passed us on bikes. I think if we did it again we... More

Excellent place to take the kids, we rode our mountain bikes down the trail from the lava beds to the falls, this is fun for all ages, my 4 year old was able to make the ride on his own. The falls are amazing.
