Super easy, super beautiful!

More of a walk than hike. Wide smooth paths. Roaring water! Beautiful scenery, great for photographs!

Nice walk through the pine forest. Elevation gain is pretty minimal. Pretty falls. A quick and worthwhile side trip.

Be sure to make time for this during your visit to Sunriver. The paved bike paths of Sunriver give way to a 2.5 mile paved path that ends at a bridge. If you aren't on a mountain bike, walk your bike across the bridge and stow it at the far end. Then enjoy the easy 0.5 mile hike on packed... More

This is an easy walk in the wild. The trail is well maintained and the views of the river and forest along the way make the stroll interesting. The trip is safe and the foot traffic makes everyone feel secure. Allow three hours and bring fluids and something to eat as there are no services. This is a wildland hike.

The trail to the Falls is relatively easy and the river views are special. Go early in the day and take a picnic if you like. We did not encounter mosquitoes this visit, but have in the past. There are several trails along the Deschutes River that are used by hikers and bikers. River rafting is also available.

Horrible. They have black topped it, and cut down all the tree cover. It makes for terrible walking, running and dog walking. We were very, very disappointed that they ruined a great trail.

By far the best trail ride in Sunriver that I have found. Street\Road Bikes should not go on this trail! Mountain Bikes and a good bike with wider tires and gears should make it without a problem. How to get on the dirt trails: - Take the Bike trails in Sunriver to E Cascade Road (The farthest northern part of... More

Easy hike from the south trail head. Very pretty falls from various view points. Can drive into the falls for those that cant hike it. If you keep hiking past the falls to Slough Meadows you will see the lava flows across the river. Mountain views along the way. Its less then a 5 mile round trip hike. Very nice... More

This is a beautiful hike. The trail is wide, easy, and runs along the river. The falls are amazing. This is a great hike for families and we even saw a family wheeling an elderly relative down the path in a wheelchair. I highly recommend this venture. You can hike in or you can also drive to the falls if... More

This an easy to bike with a beautiful scenic pathway to the falls. The path is well marked and mostly paved. Once you get to the bridge it is unpaved and there is the potential for mud puddles. My husband and daughter and I were able to bike this easily with our average quality bikes provided by our rental. ;-)
