We came here not to ski or snowboard, but to sled. They have a little recreational area for younger kids that cost just $5 a piece and honestly no one was around you probably could just go and play for free. My 4 and 6 year old had a blast, as did my wife and I. The drive from the... More

Went up to Hoodo specifically for the Autobahn tubing. The pace was packed, ridiculously so. The person selling tickets said we would only be able to get in maybe 2 runs due to the long lines. (I arrived at 1:30pm, place closes at 4pm). She was right, I got in 2 runs and could have gotten a third if I... More

Hoodoo is the place to go if you want to get away from the pretentiousness of Mt Bachelor. I have been a season pass holder at Bachelor for many years and I have to say that the pretentiousness of the people at Bachelor has grown exponentially and it is a REAL snore!!! Hoodoo, on the other hand has, thankfully, not... More

Ok so my review is a little different. No skiing involve! I was riding back roads to Portland OR and decided to take the spur off highway 20 to see the area. It was well worth if for the views. This would be a great area to hike during the summer. Many times life is stopping to smell the roses,... More

We take the kids here every year to snow board, the entire family has a great time and price is right. If you are lucky enough to choose a day where the weather is cooperating and all the lifts are open you are in for a lot of fun. Food is decently priced for what you get and they have... More

Awesome, inexpensive and small but perfect for young children learning to ski. They had some great runs for all levels but especially catered to beginners. We've skied Hoodoo on 3 separate occasions and have never been disappointed!

This place is very family oriented. It has a laid back atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. There aren't a lot of vegetarian options for food. The beginner ski lift is very high and scary and hs no bar for safety. It isn't good for small children or people scared of heights. The beginner ski classes are very good. The... More

Hoodoo ski area is an excellent home-mountain for the family. There are four lifts servicing a good mix of terrain. The area is small enough that even the young children will be able to find there way back to the lodge with ease. From the main lift to the top I can normally spot my children wherever they are on... Hoodoo is a very under-rated ski resort only 2 and a half hours away from portland. You can expect no lines, elbow room on the slopes, cheap prices, and a great staff! Once you figure out how to avoid the flat spots that is... I highly recommend Ed's chair for this.. any green run has a very long flat spot... More

Nice small ski lodge. Perfect for families if all levels and ages.
