This place is very family oriented. It has a laid back atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. There aren't a lot of vegetarian options for food. The beginner ski lift is very high and scary and hs no bar for safety. It isn't good for small children or people scared of heights. The beginner ski classes are very good. The... More

Hoodoo ski area is an excellent home-mountain for the family. There are four lifts servicing a good mix of terrain. The area is small enough that even the young children will be able to find there way back to the lodge with ease. From the main lift to the top I can normally spot my children wherever they are on... Hoodoo is a very under-rated ski resort only 2 and a half hours away from portland. You can expect no lines, elbow room on the slopes, cheap prices, and a great staff! Once you figure out how to avoid the flat spots that is... I highly recommend Ed's chair for this.. any green run has a very long flat spot... More

We had a couple beginner's taking lessons and the more experienced could go up manzanita lift and check on beginners on easy rider lift every 15 minutes or so Good prices Sign up for emails for special deals We got an email for $28 for skis and lift... It is a very reasonable ski area and close. The owners puts in a lot of effort to keep it inviting. 'nuff said

It is a way to spend the day on the hill with out draining your bank account. I love Hoodoo, it is close to Sister (25 minutes), and you it won't drain your bank account. $25 on Tuesday, and $20 night skiing. 35 well kept runs.

My spouse and I were staying in Sisters and were looking for Nordic ski lessons. Hoodoo offered a 90-minute session that not only lasted longer but was also priced less than other options in the vicinity. Our instructor was Mike, a patient, experienced Nordic skier and excellent instructor! The ski area itself was also a great terrain on which to... More

When the snow is good it is great but when it rains please let me hang out for a hot chocolate. Lighted evenings for race practice are great

Hoodoo is a less expensive mountain to ski. It does not always have the best snow so I recommend going just after a big snow. It tends to get wetter snow and can make it a bit sloppy/wet sometimes.
