This trail system starts in town and has some amazing single track. Great for the novice. Easy uphill ride makes it so that you can loop it and not have to shuttle. Also some great views after a more challenging ride to eagle pass.

The Peterson Ridge Trail system starts right at the edge of the town of Sisters. I provides 20 some miles of hiking, jogging and mountain biking. The system is constructed like a ladder with an east and west ascending trail and various cross trails allowing you to construct a hike of about any length. Maps are usually available at the... More

The Sisters Trail Alliance has done a wonderful job developing this network of trails for mountain bikers. Free maps are available at the trailhead. The numerous trail intersections are marked logically and clearly. With so many cut-offs within the large loop, there is a distance and challenge level for all skill levels. I traveled no farther out than markers 25-26,... More

We do a good bit of mountain biking, and really enjoyed Peterson Ridge Trail. The lower/northern end of the trail system is smooth trail, relaitvely flat, easy riding. The southern half gets much more challenging as the trail begins to rise and fall, and there are more and more rock gardens to clear. Something for everyone.

Had a great time riding these trails while on vacation. Rented full suspension bikes from Eurosports in Sisters for $40/24 hours and the bikes were good quality & easy to adjust to since I own the same brand. Views were spectacular and I loved the gnome sitting in one of the rocks. It was easy to look at the map... More

We don't live far from Sisters and have come to consider Peterson Ridge one of our favorite mountain biking trails. The trail head is easy to access and the level of difficulty varies, depending on which route you take. The views of the Cascade Mountains are simply amazing! And, when you've ended your ride (or hike), the Three Creeks Brewery... More

Hikers and bikers will love this extensive (and constantly expanding) trail system that winds for miles from lovely Sisters village. Free trail maps at the trailhead and area bike shops. Mountain bike loops for all levels. Separate trails for horses too. Volunteers always welcome for trail maintenance.

Multi-use trail is well marked. Map denotes levels of difficulty and specific uses so it's easy to plan for a kid-friendly walk/hike/bike ride in the glorious forest.

This trail offers short or long hikes and is so convenient to access in Sisters. I love it in the winter too, when there is a good covering of snow to allow snowshoeing.
