There are two trail, Peterson Ridge East and Peterson Ridge West, and multiple connectors connecting the two. And, horses, hikers and mountain bikers are divided in many areas. Depending on where you start, it is an uphill climb from town, or park at the top, and hike downhill. It is a well maintained trail, by the Sisters Trail Alliance. Nice... More

Got a map from our hotel front desk at Five Pines. She had a one page flyer that had detailed directions to Eagle Rock. A must do. The view of 3 Sisters is amazing. Don't miss this. Easy hike...flat the entire way except the 250 ft climb on the Rock. Easy switchbacks make it very easy. 5 mile round trip... More

This trail system starts in town and has some amazing single track. Great for the novice. Easy uphill ride makes it so that you can loop it and not have to shuttle. Also some great views after a more challenging ride to eagle pass.

The Peterson Ridge Trail system starts right at the edge of the town of Sisters. I provides 20 some miles of hiking, jogging and mountain biking. The system is constructed like a ladder with an east and west ascending trail and various cross trails allowing you to construct a hike of about any length. Maps are usually available at the... More

The Sisters Trail Alliance has done a wonderful job developing this network of trails for mountain bikers. Free maps are available at the trailhead. The numerous trail intersections are marked logically and clearly. With so many cut-offs within the large loop, there is a distance and challenge level for all skill levels. I traveled no farther out than markers 25-26,... More

We do a good bit of mountain biking, and really enjoyed Peterson Ridge Trail. The lower/northern end of the trail system is smooth trail, relaitvely flat, easy riding. The southern half gets much more challenging as the trail begins to rise and fall, and there are more and more rock gardens to clear. Something for everyone.
