Where the "Golden Age of Golf" is Honored...

When you play on Glaze Meadow expect to feel like you stepped back in time to the "Golden Age of Golf" when exceptional course design and architecture ushered in a new era. With slightly elevated greens, square tee boxes and deep grass-faced bunkers, the course truly transports you back in time. The newly designed Oregon golf greens are not only meant to play fast and true with significant slope, but please golfers' senses with beautifully integrated pristine landscape. Big Meadow Golf Course stretching more than 7,000 yards, our Big Meadow Course is one of Central Oregon golfers' favorites, garnering a four-star rating from Golf Digest and being recognized as a Top 75 Golf Resort in the US. You won't want to miss the perfect Oregon golf photo opportunity at the 14th hole, which gives a dramatic view of Three Fingered Jack, a jagged volcanic peak.

Has to be the most unique weddings we gave ever attended! In spite of rainy weather, the setting was one of the most unforgettable. The reception at the lodge was first class -- such a beautiful place and the dinner was great as was the staff. Our room had a view of the Three Sisters mountains and was very nice.

I played both the Glaze Meadow and Big Meadow courses at Black Butte Ranch on a recent stay in Bend, OR. and would be hard pressed to pick the best one. So, next time we visit the area I am planning to play each one again and again. Both courses are over 7000 yards of fantastic golf. I'm an avid... More

Both courses are beautiful, well maintained and fun to play. Nice driving ranges and food at both courses. Probably a little too difficult for beginners, but most players will get around pretty easily.

Breathtakingly beautiful golf course, and very reasonably priced greens fees by resort standards. The course was in perfect condition, the staff is very nice and helpful, and the scenery is so pretty that it's hard to concentrate on your game. We had some beginners in our group, and took advantage of the discounted evening greens fees and lack of crowds... More

We joined a friend who has a house at Black Butte for a round of golf at the Glaze Meadow Course. The course was in very good condition, the greens were very fast and challenging. The course is surrounded by trees and houses are mostly out of play. After the round the clubhouse has a nice selection of local beer... More

We scheduled to play in late afternoon. Staff was very helpful and the people on the course were polite. The greens were good and the holes were a bit challenging. We played the back 9 at big meadow. More sand then I would like but open areas. Good course for all levels.

We played Big Meadow and had a wonderful time. The course is tight and lined with towering pine trees. Challenging but fair, would definitely go back for another round.

I found the Big Meadow course to be the easier of the two, but it was also my favorite. It is in great condition and the practice range is very nice. The Glaze Meadow course had slightly better greens and a signature front nine that was lined with beautiful flowered areas. Both of these tracks are great and if possible,... More

The redo of this course is very, very nice! I played it for years when it was getting unplayable. The new course fits my eye. Played there 3 times since. I shot 74 recently, only reason I'm mentioning it is, I don't want to be blamed for a minor complaint after a bad round. They are the ONLY course I have... More

I have golfed both courses and enjoy both. After the complete redesign of Glaze Meadow a couple of years ago it is much improved. The greens are still hard - tough to land a ball on the green and stick it - but that will improve each year. Wonderful staff on each course and so many amazing views.
