The Oregon Gardens really surprised us. We enjoyed acres of all kinds of all kinds of well manicured gardens. Ranging from edible gardens, children's gardens, forests, flowers, knot gardens, and introspective gardens everything was there. There is a tram that I would suggest taking upon arrival in order to get the entire layout in your mind, then begin walking, walking,... More

Well, to say I love this garden understates my affair with this lovely property. The design is wonderful, broad and detailed, well-planned and always growing. One could come here every month and see something new bloom. The conifer garden is without peer. Local nurseries help to maintain small areas of the garden. Broad paths are wheelchair friendly though it is... More

We visited the gardens for the first time in years, after having been there the year it opened. We were quite impressed. An august visit was a lovely time to be there. I really liked the northwest theme of many of the spaces. We plan to be back every year. Check out their special events,

I have lived here many years and had never known what I was missing. This is just beautiful. It is set up so there are many different gardens to see in one garden. Nice walking paths, table to seat and have a snack and shade to get out of the sun. You can take the free trolley and learn all about... More

There is only one Frank Lloyd Wright House in Oregon and it is located at the Oregon Garden. Admission is separate from the Oregon Garden. The docent who led our tour was extremely well informed and imparted so much knowledge to the group about the history and design of the house. He was also very entertaining, and there was not... These gardens are really good. They have many volunteers to help manage the gardens and that is reflected in the neatness if the whole area. The walking is moderate with small hills and some steps but take your time and you will be well rewarded. They have a tour bus that will take you everywhere (hop on and off) with... More

The Oregon Garden in Silverton, Oregon is a short excursion off the I-5 corridor near Salem, and worth the side trip. The 80-acre compound lies in the foothills of the Cascade Range, a short distance from the historic town of Silverton. The Garden spills down the hillside in a cascade of 24 marshes, ponds, and water features, capped by a... More

If you Love flowers, plants, trees & walking, I would highly recommend a trip to the Oregon Gardens! Lots of smaller garden areas within the whole gardens! Very well set up.

We got into the Garden via our pass from staying at the resort portion of the grounds. There is a very small play garden area with a "Hobbit" house and a sand pit to excavate dinosaur bones for the kids. We have 2 young boys. The rest if the garden has mini-scapes and well marked flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees.... More
