With 24 theme gardens, there is something for everyone's interest. Gardens range from children's and pet friendly to Northwest and Lewis and Clark. They are known for their conifer collection. Cafe and gift shop are on grounds. The garden has special events throughout the year including a Brewfest in June and movies during the summer. Dogs are allowed on leash.... More

Was there for a rehearsal dinner, so didn't really get to enjoy the gardens. They have a lovely bar area that made for a wonderful gathering place for family. It was a cold weekend and the fireplace was a favorite!

My best friend and I visited the Gardens on the way home from a dog show. It was wonderful to see GREEN! We don't see much of that in the summer in Central Oregon. It is important to note they allowed the dogs to accompany us in the Gardens. It was much too warm to leave the dogs in the... More

We enjoyed the garden. We first took the tram and then returned by foot to inspect up close those things we wanted to see further. The conifer garden is magnificent with 600 species of conifers. There are water features and a cute children's area complete with a sand area for playing. All type of different areas. My one issue was... More

This is a return visit to the garden. I was here the first week it opened and it has progressed into a wonderful place with many photo opportunities. My favorite place is the Connifer Forest. I plan on returning for the holiday activities this year. All the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. Snack area serves beer on tap... More

This is a large, lovely garden retreat. It has a little bit of everything so you are sure to find some spot within the garden that pleases your senses. I was a bit surprise that during our visit there were not more blooming plants and flowers but there were so many places to wander and things to see, I quickly... More

Buchart Gardens it is NOT. Like someone's big backyard. Some local nurseries are more impressive. Yes, some nice features, especially the water features, but again I wasn't impressed enough to bring back any visitors there.

I took a walk in the garden in the rain, and it was exhilarating. I saw all kinds of trees that will be great to visit during fall. Some plants were blooming, everything was lush and green. I think the peak of bloom had yet to happen. There are organized tours you can take in a tram, but I didn't... More

We've gone here several times over the years, during a variety of different seasons. It never looks quite the same and that just makes it more enjoyable for us. There is plenty of opportunity to take pictures as well. It's perfectly acceptable to bring a camera, even stabilization equipment such as a tripod; though do stay on the paths and... More
