This attraction just a few miles east of Salem up in the foothills. There is plenty of parking. Bring a hat for the afternoon sun, good walking shoes, water and a camera and/or sketch book. Take your time exploring all the different areas of this 80 acre garden, there is a map and the helpful folks at entry assist with... More

Included in the ticket price is a 25 minute narrated tram ride through the gardens. Since we hiked Silver Falls the previous day, the tram ride was very welcome. The tram operator was well informed and made the ride educational.

We were happy when we arrived, the place appeared charming. We checked in and noticed all the spiders in the room, we cleaned all the spiders. A small glass table was dirty, we proceeded to clean the table. We turned the room air conditioning on, and I started coughing non stop.Called the front desk and someone checked the air conditioning... More

the gardens are just a delight. we especially enjoyed the evergreen section. By chance we met a caretaker there who was an expert on evergreens. He gave us a personal tour of his little section of heaven. we learned a lot. The Gordon House is a Frank Lloyd Wright treasure that ended up in the Oregon Garden after a lengthy... More

Perhaps the time we were there affects my rating a bit. Some would give the garden 5 stars, but during our visit, many flowers were not in bloom, so maybe my rating isn't fair, but I'll stick with it for now. Having been to the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC, it's hard not to make a mental comparison, though it's... More

Our entrance came with our room so I'm not even sure how much it cost to get in. The gardens are very beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed walking on the paths and checking out the thousands of varieties of plants.

We went here since we were in the area and it looked like a beautiful spot, which it was. It was over 100 degrees when we were here so we did not choose to wander around which was unfortunate because it is a very lovely place. The trolley takes about 25 minutes to get around the park and you can... More
