Having spent several days touring off the beaten path Oregon vineyards; we happened across the Ponzi Vineyards and Winery near Sherwood Oregon. (It is about a 34-minute drive southwest of Portland). The contemporary winery sits atop a big hill overlooking the surrounding vineyards. One can sit inside the finely decorated wine tasting room with walls of windows on two sides,... More

Several visits here. Beautiful facility with large tasting room, and very comfortable deck looking over vineyards and a view for miles.

This new facility/tasting room was a perfect start to our Willamette Valley tour. We did the basic and premier tasting so we could try the Pinots side-by-side. We sat next to the fireplace and our server did a great job. The tasting price was $33 for the 2 types of tastings. I was a bit surprised that the receipt had... More

This is one of our favorite places to stop in and taste wine. We were members of Ponzi years ago when we lived in Minnesota but dropped our membership because of the logistics. Now that we live in Oregon, we discovered they opened this new Wine Tasting Room on top of the hill with one of the most amazing views... More

We took the private guided tour which was nice considering it was only my wife, me and the tour guide. I enjoyed hearing about the wine making process even though they were not doing anything at the moment and being able to try different wines along the tour. Afterwords we stayed for the afternoon and had food and drinks. I... More

We took a day trip to this vineyard from Portland and the drive was about 45 minutes. Coming from the east coast you don't know much about Oregon other than the wine and college football. The estate seemed to be brand spanking new and the views from the deck were truly breathtaking. If you like dry whites, then definitely try... More

The Ponzi vineyard is in a beautiful setting with a lovely modern facility. It was so lovely to sit on the deck and enjoy the view. The experience we had did not match the loveliness of the setting. It was a holiday weekend so we were warned it would be slow service, but with the view we were ok with... More

Brenna did a tremendous job with the tour and tasting. The Ponzi family has a great story and history. The wines are fantastic and you can't beat the setting. You will buy their wine!

This winery is stunning! The contemporary building design, the view and the outdoor area can't be beat. Hands-down the best in the area. But more than that, there is a great story. Take the time to walk around and look at all of their displays. Ask them to tell you about the Ponzi story. It is really cool. The staff... More

We stopped here first and sort wished we did it last because it was such a treat! The tasting room was quite elegant and the view from the terrace was fantastic!! The wines were excellent! They had Bocce court below the terrace if you were interested in playing. The food selection was limited but offered nice cheese plate. Price was... More
