My boyfriend loves to fish here and I hold it as one of my favorite locations for shooting senior pictures. It is gorgeous and hardly ever packed.

Nice relaxing park, almost a secret getaway. Good place for reunions, or a nice relaxing walk through the area surrounded by farmland.

A distance from the main road, this park will give you opportunity to bike, walk, horse ride or boat ride. Lots of open space for picnicking. Level ground for ease. $5 for parking. An inexpensive rural treat. And on the way there or home- several nurseries to visit. Select some flora to remember the day.

The park is in a lovely country side area, farms surround the park, there is a walk along the river to the first Mission site. Good place for family picnics.

Large, open spaces with great trails and infrequently visited. Not many facilities or offerings, but has great river access for walking.

A very nice park with an interpretive trail, an off-leash dog park, camping and trails. I have been there to hike/walk and to ride my bike and it's been very enjoyable.

This is a fun park to visit for a picnic and for fishing in the Willamette river. This is the site of the oldest continuous run ferry across the Willamette river. You can take a short ride across the river for free as a pedestrian. Just remember that the ferry will only go across the river when there are cars... More

There really is something for everyone here. The Wheatland Ferry is so close and free to take it as a walk on passenger or $2 to take it across in your car.

We get a yearly state Park pass and visit many times during the year. There are miles of hiking, biking and horse riding paths close to Salem. It's located on the Willamette Rive and has great views of the river. You can see birds, eagles, squirrels and occasionally a deer. There are numerous picnicking tables and roofed group picnicking areas.... More
