I have been a lover of carousels since childhood. I now have the opportunity to introduce my daughter to that same love. Riverfront is a wonderful place to go and take your kids for a day. The carousel is delightful, filled with children's laughter. There is a huge park and the Willamette River to spend a lazy day and picnic.... More

Very affordable. Kids love it. Try not to judge the beauty of the carousel by the dirty bathrooms outside by the park.

Do have kids between 2 and 10? Or do you love carousels? Restorations and beautiful handiwork? Or just bright spinning spectacles? Then this is a must stop if you are visiting Salem for some reason. It will entertain for 20-60 minutes. We've done it many times, until our kids were bored with it around 9 yrs old, because they'd done... More

Whenever grandchildren visit or we have out of town company, we visit the carousel. The rides are inexpensive and last quite awhile, and you can't take just one ride. For the littlest ones who are afraid of the up and down, or adults who can't climb aboard the ponies, there are charming on-board benches to enjoy the ride. Besides catching... More

The only reason I didn't vote this 5 stars is that beyond the carousel, there are only limited things nearby to expand the adventure. As far as the carousel goes, it is always number one when my grandkids come. It is very well done and the staff is perfect for keeping things happy. The gift shop is nice, and even... More

It's a carousel and you should take your kids here. This is a great spot for a couple fun rides and then head out to the playground. I've been here several times and I and the kids all love it each trip.

We take our kids here every so often for a fun outing. The carousel is beautiful. If you go on a week day there is rarely a wait and plenty of ponies to choose from. You can buy a punch card from the gift shop that is good for many rides (I think 20) and you get a discount on... More

The Salem Riverfront Carousel is located near the south edge of Riverfront Park, with ample parking quite near. The park includes a giant GLOBE, marked with nations, an ampiheatre, walking paths which cross the Willamette River (over what used to be a rail crossing bridge), spray fountain, sculpture, river access to feed the ducks, a large gazebo, and the remarkable...
