The Riverfront Carousel, in Riverfront Park on the banks of the Willamette River, is a great place for children and adults. Volunteers have carefully restored the mounts. There is a nominal fee to ride the carousel. The Gilbert House Children's Museum is within walking distance.

On the day we went they were giving outrides so despite having no children with us we rode! We also walked around by the river over a old bridge and into the city area. Just a fun place to walk around .

Fun experience, beautiful carousel, loved the museum adjacent to this carousel, where we could see the artists at work, carving more characters for future Carousels!

I've taken the grandkids (ages 3, 5, 10, and 13) twice. They had a great time. The price is reasonable. I enjoy hitting the popcorn vendor located adjacent to the ride.

From the cute horses to the coins they sell, there's always something to look at here. The gift shop is expensive, but filled with cute toys and gifts from anyone you know. Occasionally they'll sell fresh popcorn and cotton candy. Service is generally good, not always in the gift shop. A place to definitely visit at least once.

A hand carved artistic masterpiece that creates a community event center for fun with Mrs. Claus at Christmas and an adorable spot for birthday parties! The people who work the carousel are so kind to the children and always make us feel welcome! I love this special gift to Salem!
