A nice little carousel in the riverfront park with a friendly attendant, a donkey, a frog, and a bucking bronco as well as horses to ride.

The Riverfront Carousel is a must-visit for our children every time we are in Oregon. This year, our 15-year-old son found a new thrill with the Brass Ring challenge, which he won twice over and enjoyed free rides for. Our 2-year-old daughter loves to try different animals on the carousel with her brothers and daddy. As a great bonus, we... More

Large area with picnic tables in addition to the Merry Go Round. We grabbed the last table that was in the shade but on cement but OK because it was Wheel chair accessible.

Don't miss this lovely carousel. Fun for children and adults alike. Delightful to go into the workshop/studio where the carousel "animals" are created.

We enjoyed watching the kids ride the carousel and we have no idea as to the cost. It's probably a great thing for families with kids.

The old carousel was quaint and sweet, very worth going to see. I like that it was rustic and classic. Not far from the hotel at all.

A little gem located in the Riverfront park. The kids loved it. About a three minute ride for $1.50 - a great deal. We stopped in on a warm day after a picnic in the park. Took two rides - both times almost by ourselves. Very few people were there which was a shame given how the carrousel is so... More

On our road trip, we took a much-needed break in Salem, OR. After lunch we made our way to Riverfront Park, where there is a playground and a carousel. The playground equipment was too hot in the sun but the carousel was a hit with my toddler. She rode it three times before we had to get back on the... More

Ok as a few hours activity. Few parkings spots. Limited activities. Avoid in a hot/humid day. Like - carousel. Dislike - parking, no food.

We have been going to the Riverfront Carousel since the summer it opened and are always entranced by the beauty of the carousel itself and each of the splendidly carved and painted ponies. Their gift shop is also unique and fun and always earns a line in my vacation budget because I know I will find something I must have!... More
