We had a great time here, the ride tho kind of expensive is nice and long! The people who carved the carousel are sometimes @ work carving more figures in the workshop, located in the gift shop. The Carousel, is situated in a lovely park right on the Willamette River. Great place to pic-nick. There is also a large playground. The... More

All the riding "animals" on the carousel are hand carved. While there you may also watch one of the many volunteer carvers working on a new project. The frog and elephant are not in place for the kids to ride, The cost is minimal for a couple of rides and the adults can ride free with their small children. There... More

Well designed and stunning. The carousel is kept very clean. A must do for families. The prices are reasonable too.

We like to stop at the carousel whenever we're in Salem for a couple trips around the carousel, a stop in the gift shop for a piece of candy for each child, and then over to the nearby playground in the park. My older girls like the "brass ring" game where they can win a free ride, but it's not... More

I have been taking my grandchildren tot he Carousel for the past 7 years since they were big enough to prop up on the horses. My grandson always wants to ride on Big sky! This is an affordable outing since parents or grandparents ride free with a child under 40 inches.

My son wanted to ride the carousel so we did! I don't remember what the cost was but it's inexpensive. The line wasn't even that long on a busy Saturday. He had a blast! A great diversion if you're at the park.

The carousel is indoors and really pretty. It's next to a park and and has a pretty view of the river. You can also go for a walk or play simple frisbee. The parking can be pretty difficult depending on the temperature and day.

Just a great time kids and grown ups can ride carousel. Nice little gift shop. Also you can watch them craft new horses or work on old ones. There is a park with swings and such and you can have a picnic.

We didn't have any children with us but as we watched we could tell the kids riding were having a lot of fun. We enjoyed watching them.
