For being a public library this exceeded my expectations. Expansive, variety, kids section, computer lab, magazine sitting area, nice sitting windows for reading... A great place to meander through the day. I really don't like the weird off days. Like being closed on Monday. So random. And the summer hours are also horrible. I don't know about you, but during... This is a great library for our community. Staff is friendly and helpful and there are lots of activities for all ages. However, the parking situation is awful. Very expensive, especially if you want to spend a few hours there. It seems that we should not have to pay for something I already pay taxes for. The parking does keep... More

We love taking trips to the library! They have so many great programs-especially for the kids. Any time I've had a question, the staff has been more than willing to help. The only issue I have had is that it's a bit warm and humid inside.

Great Library, with everything that a person could ask for, or they will get it for you! There are actually several cities that are connected to this Library, so if you live out a ways, you can order the book, and pick it up at a more convenient location. Loads of parking, friendly staff, lots of extra activities happening there.

I've been using Salem Public Library for over 35 years. When my offspring were children, we'd drive in from Willamina for a night out! Thank goodness for Salem Public Library and CCRLS. I like everything about it. Here are a few: online book requests, magazine recycling, the Friends of the Library book store sales, Book Clubs, Grab N Go books,... More

I was in Salem several days, and needed a diversion. This was a great place. Good reads, periodicals, use of internet, and as I didn't check anything out, I didnt need a library card. God love libraries. There is also a great geocache here, which make me think the librarians are also pretty cool.
