This home dates from the late 1800s. The tour was very informative and it was interesting to see how people lived back then. The gardens are quite lovely and cool on a hot summer's day.

My daughters took me to a Mothers Day Tea that was put on by the estate. We had such a good time. The food was very good and the service from the ladies that put it on was impeccable. We then got a personal tour through this beautiful estate from one of the ladies. It was just a delight.

We visited Deepwoods on one of the hottest days in May, and felt refreshed as we strolled along the pathways which offered plenty of shade. The flowers were blooming beautifully, and were all labeled so we knew more about the plant life there. It was a great place to take some photos, sit on a park bench, and stroll by... More

Flower garden is packed with beauties. The tour was very interesting and the docent provided lots of background information on the house and the families that resided there.

This place is amazing and right next to Pringle creek and Bush pasture park. They have free events on holidays that my kids love also the building is amazing as well as the history that goes with it and the foliage is amazing a great Salem treat.

We are mainly here for a couple of events, the Wine & Jazz Festival and the Vintage Flea Market. The events are well done, well attended AND in the most beautiful setting in Salem.

The landscape and building are beautiful but to really appreciate the whole experience you need to take a tour or attend one of the many wonderful events that are held there. This is an incredibly romantic wedding venue also.

The beautiful place is maintained mostly by volunteers and has amazing gardens and greenhouse. It's just lovely. We used the area for our family portraits this year. They host amazing teas and children's events. Also, they offer tours. Close to the hospital and train station. We're lucky to have this in Salem. Don't miss the Victorian Christmas! Check their online... More

While the historical deepwood estate has a rich history and lovely, enticing entrance, the out buildings and garden area are not included in the tour. The positive side is the knowledge of the docent and the feeling that you are walking back in time as a guest in someone's home. The downside is it, for me, was not a good... More
