Sited along the banks of the Willamette River and an adjoining slough, most of the park has been left as natural area. Great birding for water birds, osprey, Bald Eagles. Lots of walking/bike paths, and even an off-leash dog exercise area.

Bikes, running playing. When Riverfront Park's new bridge is finished and they are connected it will be more to do

We enjoy riding our bikes in this park. There are miles of bike paths in a beautiful treed park along the Willamette River in Salem, Oregon. There's also an off leash dog park for your dogs to play in. There are picnic tables for your parties, portable toilets, and miles of jogging or walking paths. In August you can pick... More

Keeping in mind that this is a rainy area, the off leash dog area is large and a great place for a high energy spaniel to stretch his legs. On some trips this will equate to a muddy dog, so just be prepared.

Our son loves the playground in the shade of the huge trees. The river and slough are nice to walk along. The paths are paved and fairly will kept. Lots and lots of trails to explore. Minto-Brown Island is a family favorite. Miles of paved paths for walkers, runners and bikers. I personally love to take the kids down to the park as they learn to ride. Another great feature is the off leash area for our four legged friends. There is access to the river.

I enjoy walking on the paths. You will usually run into other people, jogging or walking or riding their bikes. It's peaceful and gives you a chance to commune with nature.

There are also bike and walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas (covered and uncovered), and kayaking. There are also plans to connect the park to Riverfront Park in downtown Salem, which I think will only increase the usability and enjoyment.

Huge, nice paved paths, many along the Willamette river, great for biking or walking. Excellent multi-acre dog park. Lots of wildlife.
