You can bike or walk on interlacing paved trails, and pick a route that's flat or a little hilly or along the river. The dog park is awesome. You can bring kids to a play structure. The blackberry picking is great in August. They're going to link the park to downtown!!!

I take my two large dogs to the park, and then we walk along the paths. Depending on the time of day, it's a nice treat for all of us - the dogs get to run & play, and I get some exercise while listening to the birds and enjoying the quiet.

We had a great time riding our bikes on the many trails. The trails were very lightly used on a weekday. Walkers, runners, cyclists, and dog walkers were all very polite.

If you have dogs and like to walk them off-leash, this is the place to go. There is a huge area with a walking path, as well as a grassy area to throw frisbees. Dogs are everywhere. Make sure that your dog know the command "Come" before you go.

I live less than a mile from this wonderful gem that many people miss. The park is mostly kept wild, with open fields and nice shady wooded areas. The park has great paved walking/biking trails, bark running trails, an awesome large dog park area, and a play area and picnic area very close to the water. There are only portable... More

I love walking in Minto Brown Island Park, My husband and I have walked this park for years and you never know what you might see, to a beaver building a dam to an eagle by the river as we sat quietly. When I had my girl scout troop years ago, I had a women give us a tour from... More

This park is very large and unique in that very few cities have a park like this with so many nature trails and a very large open dog park. It is located along the river and will be enhanced greatly by the new foot bridge that will connect it with the water front park.

I have probably walked or run every trail in Minto-Brown Park. It is a gem in and for the Salem community. A visit to Salem ought to include a stroll, run or bike ride at Minto. There are many trails from which to choose, A stroll along the Willamette River or a pause by a large pond both provide nice... More

We were looking for a place to let our dog run and were delighted with this park. The dog area is not fenced, placing responsibility on the dog owners to control their dogs. Waste containers are strategically placed along the several acre field as well as along the many trails on which dogs are welcome when on a leash. We... More
