I have been attending Music on the Half Shell for ten seasons now, - the most recent having concluded this past August with an astoundingly good concert by Pink Martini, with guest artist The Von Trapps. It was the second time I'd been lucky enough to catch P.M. - one of my favorite all-time bands - for FREE less than... More

Some artist draw more than others, but there is always a crowd on Tuesday nights. It is THE place to be for locals. Parking can be crazy. People place their blankets out the night before. Family friendly. Local food carts, and the South Umpqua river make for a beautiful setting. Visiting musicians often comment that they love the venue. Admission... More

I love going to the half shell because the music is good, the park is beautiful, and it's free. You can bring a picnic or there Re really good food vendors set up in the park.

Grab your spot on the lawn and enjoy an evening of relaxation and music. Always a good time. Nice cool breeze and you can hear the river running by.

These weekly outdoor concert events, held for 6 weeks during Jul-Aug on Tues evenings, are fabulous! A wide range of musical offerings provide something of interest for everyone at least once during the season. You can put out a blanket on the grass as early as 5AM the day on the concert, and it will remain there for your later... More

Set out your blanket and chairs in the morning and come back for the evening show on Tuesday nights. There is a fair selection of food available or you can bring your own food and drink. The free concert offers good entertainment in a beautiful setting along the river.

Awesome place for music! It only lasts for a month, but it's always a treat! Get there early or you'll be further back on the hill!
