The staff at the hotel said we should visit this winery I had never heard of. Well, we needed some lunch but what we got was a revelation. Not only was the staff first rate, the knowledge shared was fresh, accurate and unique. The terroir at this winery and vineyard is extraordinary, their methods are world class and their wine... The setting is stunning; with the pristine hills and vineyards ! I especially like their Tempranillo, typical of Spain but not the USA. The tasting room and special event room are well done. The wine tasting staff are friendly and knowledgeable folks. A delightful place to enjoy Umpqua Valley wines and scenery !

Abacela winery was the second winery of the day for us on a trip to the Oregon coast. The grounds are very nice as you drive in and so are the facilities. We made the mistake of bringing our little Yorkie with us and they informed us he was not allowed inside. We have learned that it seems that about... More

The grounds are beautiful. A trip to Abacela must be included if you are traveling in Southern Oregon. The people are hospitable, and the wine is wonderful. Make sure that you try the tempranillo and ask how it trekked to Oregon from Spain!

My first impression on this typical rainy Oregon winter day: The vineyards are beautiful ! The rows of grapes are held in place with precision - the grass between the rows is manicured. Then, I entered the Tasting Room - a very comfortable room with a warm feeling. Two friendly employees helped me to understand the history of Abacela (derived... More

This winery received the award for Best Winery in Oregon for the year 2013 and I would bet they get it for 2014 also. Wonderful experience of smell and taste. If you like wine at all, you will LOVE their wine.

We've enjoyed Abacela wines for quite some time, so we looked forward to a chance to see the winery. All I can say about the experience is "WOW". The driveway winds through the vineyards and then brings you to a beautiful tasting room which was clearly designed to make the most of the spectacular setting. The staff is very friendly... More

We've been to Abacela winery countless times and it always strikes me how unfriendly the staff is. Of course there is always the exception. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the wine is divine. Try a smile every now and then folks.

The wines here are amazing. Sad that you do not see them in our local market in Scottsdale. The tasting room is clean and modern. The staff is helpful and attentive to everybody. I came during the week and I had the run of the place. My favorite wines were the Syrah, Malbec and Tempranillo. The prices were quite reasonable... More
