I decided to book this tour with only 12 hours notice. I spoke with Jeff when calling to book the tour and he made me feel welcome from the word go. Jeff was our tour guide and picked me up in front of my hotel and after a few more stops to pick up other guests we were off for... More

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to spend a few days in Portland and decided to spend one of our days exploring the natural environment outside of the city with Jeff and we are very glad we did. As many others have mentioned, Jeff has a wealth of knowledge about the area, both from an ecological as well... More

Traveling with a 4 year old, I was concerned that a van tour would not be entertaining enough for my son, but Jeff was an excellent guide who provided not only amazing stops and views, but who also provided a fantastic amount of information about the area. While I enjoyed the facts and history, my son was engaged with all... More

This mini-tour guides you part of the trail of Lewis and Clark. With a professional tour guide, he guides you to the coastline route, inside the river Columbia, where Lewis and Clark had made their way and contact with the native people. The route includes: scientific seeings through hills, coast cliffs at the state Oregon. Lunch and visiting the Column... More

I'd highly recommend Eco Tours. Jeff took us on the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood tour. The van was comfortable, and most importantly Jeff was very knowledgeable about the environment and the history of the places we visited. I'm a professor of American Indian history and environmental history and I thought Jeff did a great job of explaining American Indians' history... More

Jeff, the tour leader, was knowledgeable and able to communicate that knowledge of the natural environment, the challenges, and to show us the natural beauty. It was a long day (9-6), but got us to places we would not have gone, even if we had a car for our trip to Portland. There's a fair amount of time in the... More

The all day tour to Mount Saint Helens was the best educational tour we have ever been on. Our guide was a true volcano geek and he knew this one well. We were picked up at our door and traveled the full day, stopping many times for bathroom, food, photo, interpretive centers and just pulling over to get the best... More

This review is not actually about the tour experience but rather my attempts at arranging a tour. My husband and I wanted to go on the Northern Oregon Coast tour offered by Eco Tours. A few weeks prior to our trip to Portland I emailed and left two voice mail messages explaining what I wanted to book. No response. The... More

We are sorry for this customers situation and are happy his own tour turned out "wonderful". I return calls in our peak season as quickly as I can. If I could have gotten through to him when he was on his raft trip everything would have worked out well. In this situation, by the time he got back to us... More

This was a great tour covering a lot of ground during our 8 hours Jeff is extremely knowledgeable. He provided a variety of handouts about the area as well as some audio clips and music relative to the area and times. Jeff talked throughout the tour providing a wealth of information. It is evident that he is committed to providing... More

I'm sorry to say that what I read in the bad reviews proved true for me. I waited a week after I sent them an email to try to book a tour, but I never heard back . Too bad, I would have liked to do the Astoria - Lewis & Clark Historical Tour as no one else seems to... More

EcoTours typically only runs one high quality tour each day. Some assume we are bigger than we are. In the peak of the tourist season, it is hard for me to be as quick as some would like answering all of the tour inquiries. So I tend to answer the immediate inquiries the quickest. If I'm not mistaken, this customers... More
