Recommended to me by the HI Portland, I booked last minute and was able to get a spot on the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood loop on Memorial Day. Despite not being a local (by birth at least), Jeff knows this area like the back of his hand. Extremely knowledgeable about the past, present and future of the region and has... More

Awesome! Jeff had brief vignettes of interesting programs on CD along with maps of the valley. He had history and knowledge of everything wine. A world traveler Provided great info with lots of time to savor wine. Great lunch in Dundee. We would take him again!

My husband and I went on the winery tour with Jeff today. It was a great tour! Jeff is full of knowledge about wine and the region. He is happy to answer any questions as well. My husband doesn't drink wine, but he got so much out of the day, including taking beautiful pictures of the scenery. The tour is... More

It took me a while to get a response from Jeff re the Columbia River tour. In fact he did not phone me back at my hotel, I had to do all the chasing around. There was absolutely no reply to my email inquiry. I couldn't leave my mobile number as it was on roaming, and it said on the... More

I decided to book this tour with only 12 hours notice. I spoke with Jeff when calling to book the tour and he made me feel welcome from the word go. Jeff was our tour guide and picked me up in front of my hotel and after a few more stops to pick up other guests we were off for... More

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to spend a few days in Portland and decided to spend one of our days exploring the natural environment outside of the city with Jeff and we are very glad we did. As many others have mentioned, Jeff has a wealth of knowledge about the area, both from an ecological as well... More

Traveling with a 4 year old, I was concerned that a van tour would not be entertaining enough for my son, but Jeff was an excellent guide who provided not only amazing stops and views, but who also provided a fantastic amount of information about the area. While I enjoyed the facts and history, my son was engaged with all... More

This mini-tour guides you part of the trail of Lewis and Clark. With a professional tour guide, he guides you to the coastline route, inside the river Columbia, where Lewis and Clark had made their way and contact with the native people. The route includes: scientific seeings through hills, coast cliffs at the state Oregon. Lunch and visiting the Column... More

I'd highly recommend Eco Tours. Jeff took us on the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood tour. The van was comfortable, and most importantly Jeff was very knowledgeable about the environment and the history of the places we visited. I'm a professor of American Indian history and environmental history and I thought Jeff did a great job of explaining American Indians' history... More

Jeff, the tour leader, was knowledgeable and able to communicate that knowledge of the natural environment, the challenges, and to show us the natural beauty. It was a long day (9-6), but got us to places we would not have gone, even if we had a car for our trip to Portland. There's a fair amount of time in the... More
