I'm sorry to say that what I read in the bad reviews proved true for me. I waited a week after I sent them an email to try to book a tour, but I never heard back . Too bad, I would have liked to do the Astoria - Lewis & Clark Historical Tour as no one else seems to... More

EcoTours typically only runs one high quality tour each day. Some assume we are bigger than we are. In the peak of the tourist season, it is hard for me to be as quick as some would like answering all of the tour inquiries. So I tend to answer the immediate inquiries the quickest. If I'm not mistaken, this customers... More

This was a terrific tour. Jeff was a knowledgeable and personable guide who created a truly memorable tour for us. This is a must do tour for anyone who is interested in seeing the powerful and regenerative forces of nature. I was riveted throughout the day by Jeff's commentary, the pictures and audio clips he shared, and the beauty of... More

We toured the volcano with Jeff who provided a very professional and superb experience. This is a must see attraction and should not be missed. Breathtaking views and a tremendous learning experience.

As we made our plans to visit Portland for the first time, we did some research on tours to help us get the most from our visit. We read the great reviews for EcoTours and decided to book a tour of the Columbia River Gorge and the Mount Hood Loop. We chose EcoTours based on reviews here, as well as... More

Overall, the things we saw were all awesome. We got to see three gorgeous waterfalls, the last being Multnomah Falls, which was breathtaking. We also got to see a salmon run, the Oregon Trail, Mt. Hood, Hood River and a road side fruit stand. We stopped in Hood River for lunch, which was nice. Other tours I have done would... More

Spent the day with jeff on the mount hood loop tour and throughly enjoyed it. Saw great waterfalls, valleys and even snow. Four seasons in one day truly amazing. You can tell Jeff puts a lot of prep in to his work and throughly enjoys doing so. I felt we got a real understanding of the beauty of Oregon. Even... More

After emailing EcoTours of Oregon on April 8th to reserve the Columbia River/ Mt Hood tour for June 19th and after confirming the date and our reservations with Jeff by phone the week before our trip, Jeff said he would email us instructions on where to meet the van for our tour. He never sent the email. On June 18th,... More

On April 8 we asked this customer by email for her cell phone number precisely to avoid this type of situation. We were not given the cell number. This group came together one day before the trip, so we called the only phone number we had for her. We did not confirm anything on June 18th when she called again,... More

I did the Mt St Helen's trip with Jeff. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and we couldn't actually see the top of the mountain but he still made it a great trip with the huge amount of knowledge he had as well as the extras like photos handed around on the bus and recordings of police tapes from... It is true that we ran over time. Normally the hotels we pick up from are in the downtown area so it doesn't take as long to drop our guests off. That particular day a number of guests said they would pay in cash, but then decided to pay with cards. It did slow things down. Next, a number of... More

My son and I traveled from Houston to enjoy the craft brew scene and to see the sights of Portland. We saw the Eco-Tours web page and wanted to sign up. Jeff at Eco-Tours was really helpful and courteous and best of all up front with us about the tour. In fact this was the first St Helens Tour of... More

Jeff was our guide for the Columbia River /Mt Hood tour. He is a true nature lover, and knows the terrain and its history intimately. He shared great stories about what we saw, from the ecology, archaeology, geology and social-political aspects. His knowledge isn't the kind of thing that is merely memorized, but learned through a deep appreciation for the... More
