We were a group of 4 adults and were crowded into a "filled to capacity" van (14 seater, I think) where the A/C was not working well. It was uncomfortable and unappealing for the price we paid for the trip. It was a very worn in vehicle. While whale sightings cannot be guaranteed, we did see the top of one... More

Excellent tour of Mt. Hood and surrounding waterfalls such as Wakeenah Falls and Multnomah Falls. We also went to go see the dam where both wild and hatchery salmon pass through for salmon breeding season. Our tour guide Jeff knew so much about the area, geology, ecology and volcanology. We learned so much in our day tour with him today.... More

I went on an Ecotours wine tour to the Willamette Valley on the final day of an international ecology conference in Portland. As such, the trip was marketed as a special ecology and climate change-themed trip, with wineries selected based on their sustainability and environmental practices. Jeff did a fantastic job of tailoring his tour to our audience, and I... More

We took two ecotours offered by Ecotours of Oregon. The first was the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls & Mt Hood "loop" tour. People before us have given specifics about the tour that have been excellent. So, I found not want to simply repeat. We were picked up promptly at the designated time. The tour was VERY well planned. The tour... More

Wow! Perfect day tour to see the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls/Mount Hood! Jeff Davies, our guide, is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He organized a fun and scenic tour filled with insights into what makes this region a beautiful place to visit and preserve. He gave us the right amount of time to see each site, while keeping a good pace and... More

We had some friends visiting from out of town and she was interesting in sampling some of the wines in the area. Not knowing squat about wines, we googled wine tours and got this website. We were picked up at our apartment, introduced to the others on the tour and off we went. Jeff was our tour guide and I... More

This was a great tour of the Columbia River Gorge. Jeff was extremely informative and gave us tons of information about the area and it's history. He provided pictures and handouts to complement his discussions. We were able to see so much in one day. It was just the right amount of time at each stop. Would highly recommend this... More

Jeff was a great tour guide, friendly & (very)knowledgeable. Lots of fascinating history of Oregon and the places we visited. As some other reviewers have mentioned the extra stuff like audio clips, local history & Woody Guthrie tracks all brought the tour alive (we did the gorge, mount hood loop) I'm glad we did this tour as it really shows... Our tour guide Jeff was awesome! He has been doing tours to Mt. St. Helens for 23 years so he has so much knowledge about this most beautiful volcano. We all learned so much about the history of the last eruption in 1980. He provided so many pictures and we listened to actual phone coverage of the eruption. It was... More

Recommended to me by the HI Portland, I booked last minute and was able to get a spot on the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood loop on Memorial Day. Despite not being a local (by birth at least), Jeff knows this area like the back of his hand. Extremely knowledgeable about the past, present and future of the region and has... More
