Description: Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the...
Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

I took a couple of walking tours with them (Best of Portland and Beyond Bizarre). The guides are fun, enthusiastic & give you interesting insights into what makes Portland the way it is. I especially loved the Best of Portland tour. There are so many unique things about the city that is lost in all the hustle & bustle of... More

This was a tour of the "Food Carts" or trucks in Portland. These are privately owned and food is served right from the Cart. There are many many varieties and all cooked fresh for you. The tour tasted at 9 carts wit ha large variety. The food was very good to excellent. Plenty enough for lunch! Our tour guide Allessa... More

I was researching activities to do in Portland recently and came across these walking tours - it was difficult to make a decision on which one, but I chose the morning culinary tour. Pat was our guide and she provided us with a great experience. The walking is easy, and the food was amazing - so many varieties of food... More

We booked this tour for the first morning of our 2 week Pacific Northwest Vacation. Despite the fact that our luggage went to Seattle, we had a great first day in Portland on this walking tour with Damon. He was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the city and we had a great time with him. We take tours in most... More

Best way to see a new city is to walk it. I took the three hour walking tour. It was terrific. Brooke, our guide was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. He knew all little tidbit's of Portland's history, culture, food, coffee and beer places. I highly recommend this especially if you have just arrived and wish to get your bearings. At... More

Underground Portland is the basement of an old hotel. It has long since disappeared. The guide had some interesting stories about Portland sordid history, but was poor presenter, Take the free walking tour in the AM at SW Ankeny St. You will learn much more and make a donation for what you think it is worth.

I really enjoyed the 2 tours I took with this company-the Underground Portland and the epicurean tour. I saw and learned a lot more about Portland than if I would have tried on my own. The epicurean tour was varied from coffee to pizza to beer.

We were visiting friends who recently relocated to Portland area. We all enjoyed the tour and thought it was a great introduction to Portland.

I have lived in Oregon for 37 years ( mostly in Eugene) so I feel that I know the state quite well. When a friend came to visit from Canada recently, we decided to spend a couple of days in Portland and take a walking tour. We both loved it! Caralee, our guide, was personable, knowledgable and funny. She showed... More

Went here for the underground tour. Guide was great and historically very accurate in pointing out a lot of the myths of the city's underground. Wish I could have done other tours. I highly recomend! Price was very reasonable.
