Description: Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the...
Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

A friend and I came in for Wizard World Comic Con and decided that we wanted to do something fun friday night. Despite getting lost trying to find the building, we had a great time. Not only did the staff go above and beyond to talk us through navigating the streets to the right location but our tour guide and... More

We loved Herb and the unique places he chose to take us especially the salts and the olive oils! Those were particularly educational in a culinary sense.

Portland had unusually heavy rain the day we took our walking tour, but our guide, Richard, was such a great story teller it didn't matter. He obviously was a Portland expert, intertwining personal stories with historical facts about the city. I can't wait to bring my whole family back to take this tour!

I enjoyed the walking tour of Portland, although I've experienced better walking tours elsewhere. The tour guide was friendly and welcoming, and was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. The pace of the tour was good, and I didn't feel that I was ever being rushed or slowed down. I appreciated the bathroom break in the middle of the... More

This was a great tour and I am interested in spending much more time in Portland poking around. This couple of hours in Bet of Portland walking tour provided a good place to begin a trip to downtown Portland. It was informative and really gave a good amount of history and provided a basic understanding of how Portland works in... More

The Underground tour was a really great history lesson of Portland's seedy underbelly in the late 1800s. But the name, Underground Tour, is a bit misleading since we only ended up in a tunnel for the last 10-15 min of the tour...the majority is an outdoor walking tour in and around Chinatown. Which was REALLY nice. But we selected the... More

Diane was our tour guide and first off...she was amazing! Personable, funny and very approachable, she started our tour off with a bit of chocolate history and then our group hit the streets. Local chocolate, Belgium chocolate, chocolate cocktails in a historic hotel and sipping chocolate....oh my! We visited many chocolate stores in the area and we heard a little... More

The January 2, 2014 Epicurean Excursion walking tour of downtown Portland was interesting and worthwhile for those not familiar with the Portland downtown area and its food scene. Pat, our guide, was well versed on the green and organic side of Portland's lifestyle and its authentic food havens in the downtown area. She had a real passion for Portland's unique... More
