Description: Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the...
Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

The chocolate decadence tour was one of our most fun experiences in Portland! Our guide, Dianne, was fun and knowledgeable about Portland and chocolate. We loved sampling the truffles and drinks at each location and even went back the next day and bought some to take home. I would definitely recommend taking this tour. Wear walking shoes and don't eat... More

Our tour guide, Dave, did a great job guiding us around the downtown area. It was an informative introduction to the history, architecture, and urban planning of the city. Would recommend as a good start to a Portland holiday.

We booked the tour in advance online. I was a bit skeptical, however after reading other reviews, decided to take the plunge and booked our tickets. The day arrived. Our guide, Herb was outstanding! He was ready to answer any questions and gave history of the food trucks and Portland. We visited 10 food trucks in total and every truck... More

The epicurean tour was fantastic. We were introduced to foods and neighborhoods we would not have found on our own. We also learned the locations of great spots that we tried out afterwards. Our guide Pat was knowledgable and the venues were accommodating of food allergies. It made for a perfect first day of our first visit. I'd do another... More

Our tour guide Herb was a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about Portland. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in the amount of food we received. We not only stopped at restaurants but we stopped at two retail stores. We had an olive oil tasting at the first store and that was interesting. Then we went to... More

My wife and I recently took a trip to Portland and, knowing very little about the city, decided to kick off our trip by taking 2 different tours with PWT. We thoroughly enjoyed both the Epicurean tour as well as the Best of Portland. There was surprisingly little overlap in what we learned in each tour and walking around the... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Kristen really did a great job hitting on Portland history while covering the haunted tales.

The tour was very nice and I learned a lot but it was missing a lot of what was advertised. Recommended but don't expect the tour as described.
