Owner description: Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

We joined several street walkers for a tour of the City of Roses. Dianne's tour was informative and filled with side stories and humor. Statues were decorated with holiday sweaters, Benson bubblers provided refreshment and we found the iron buildings. Thanks Dianne!

Herb was a great tour guide, funny and knowledgable. We had a great eclectic taste of what Portland had to offer food wise, and I would definitely come back and do another tour with this group. In fact I'm already planning on doing the food cart tour!

We took the food cart with Elyssa and loved it! She knew a lot about the city and especially the history of the food cart pods. We tried a large variety of food from the carts and I felt like she showed us some of the best. She also pointed out other carts that were popular or that she really... More

This is about the seedy, the greedy underside and I loved it! Our tour guide Jim was awesome. Not the standard tourist fare but rather the real history with all the warts and pimples! A great value.

Alison was an excellent guide. She was a wealth of knowledge, friendly, funny, and never boring. We have taken ghost tours in various cities and this was one of the best.

We were looking for something special for a friend celebrating her 50th birthday and we found this tour . . . it was WELL worth the cost and time! We went to nine different venues and had a fabulous time tasting, discussing, enjoying . . . everything form deli's to food carts to drinking chocolate to specialty cooking and more... More

Love, love, loved the tour! I am a foodie and loved every food and drink we had! Our tour guide Pat was such a wealth of knowledge and told the history of the area and the food and floss! Such a great personality. We all felt like we became friends by the end.New foods and enough of it to be... More

This was my birthday present for my 22 year old daughter. Both her and her friend loved it. I am annoyed with the bad reviewers as they are seemingly more adult and expecting to be on a Ghost Hunters episode. Uhm, no. This is a tour, the bizarre one, of Portland's seedy past. The underground is a fraction, the education... More
