Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest. « less

We enjoyed learning about Portland history and the real story about the Shanghai tunnel. The guide was enthusiastic and knew his material.

First, I want to say that I am a walking tour enthusiast! I think walking tours are a great way to get to know a new city, and they are usually only a couple of hours, so they can be great if you don't have a lot of sightseeing time or have a short trip. The Best of Portland tour... More

We flew into Portland in the morning and took the Best of Portland Downtown Walk with Dianne that afternoon. Dianne was well-prepared with visual aid of an I-Pad and audio aid of a mini-loud speaker. She gave us an interesting tour of Portland's historical and current events in the social, environmental, cultural and political aspects. It was exactly what we... More

don't do unless you want to only learn portland history of prejudice, sexism, and prohibition. they only take you into the basement of their building where all corridors are bricked closed. 90% is walking along the river and around a couple of blocks! all outdoors. It should be called a history tour. fee is $17 for seniors and $20 for... More

Hi Bev S, I'm sorry to hear that our Underground Portland tour had a little too much history for your liking. The Underground Portland tour is our historical tour of the Old Town-Chinatown neighborhoods with a focus on, as you mentioned, Portland's "history of prejudice, sexism and prohibition" -- I would also include seedy characters, vice, corruption and all the... Guide Dianne took the four of us on a wonderful downtown tour. Great walking tour especially because each group is small. We told Dianne that we are particularly interested in architecture, so she emphasized that aspect. Knowledgeable, interesting, great presenter. Recommended.

We really enjoyed our walking tour of Portland. Our guide was very entertaining and informative. He showed us lots of behind-the-scenes highlights which we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. It was a relaxing pace and everybody on the tour seemed to like it.

We took the 10pm Beyond Bizarre Tour with Jennifer. 65% was stories about other times she'd given the tour (what did she talk about before then?), 20% was walking with no talking, 10% was hanging out in a basement, and 5% was interesting and informative. My partner was really displeased with the fact that we only got to enter one... More

Hi Bree, Sorry to hear that the spirits were not out the night you joined us… or perhaps it was in the stars. Our Beyond Bizarre tour is not a haunted house, but our paranormal walking tour with a focus on the hows of conducting paranormal investigations. Sounds like the spirits just didn't cooperate on your particular tour. More

We did a Sunday morning Epicurean walking tour with a small group. Joe was our guide and he had all sorts of Portlandia trivia to share with us. We sampled chocolate, olive oils, salts and herbs, the Pearl Bakery, Hot Lips pizza, Stumptown coffee, food carts and a few more. We walked about 1.5 miles and took the street car... More

Guide was well informed (Brad) and passionate about the city and it's history. The length of the tour was just right for most people. I think it was only a couple miles around downtown and the Willamette. Really interesting how the area was founded and developed.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a free afternoon in Portland. - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Epicurean Excursion that leaves at 10am is entirely different than the one leaves at 10pm; no destination is the same (one or two foods, maybe). My tour was at 10 am on... More
