liked the ease, price, and view. Disliked the fact that you end up in a hospital! We had to walk through the hospital to get to the bridge walkway that connects one hospital building to another.

We loved that we only had a short time to do one more thing in Portland and this was great. A very short tram ride to the top, a few minutes checking out the views of the city, Mt St Helen's, Mt Hood, and the new 'people only' bridge, then down and a hop on the streetcar just a few... More

When you travel to Portland you could enjoy the conventional attractions, but my top three for off-the radar things to do (and accessible by public transit) would include the aerial tram, Wednesday farmer's market and the monthly free lecture at the Art Museum. The aerial tram was inexpensive, accessible by the NS trolley line and provided a bird's eye view... More

I'm not sure why so many reviews on here are so critical or exactly what people were expecting because this not only does exactly what it says it will, it also offers some of the best views of the city from high up in a way that nowhere else I found did. For the best experience of any new city,... More

...it's to get up to the hospital. Did this with a friend in the summer, and it was a waste of time. While I love getting an overview of a city, there was absolutely nothing to do at the top - you just end up at the entrance to the hospital. A MUCH better activity is jut to walk around... More

The tram I went on was exactly 3 minutes and 41 seconds (I timed it) and the view was a waterway and some bridges. This is the biggest joke in Portland. Maybe being from New York I am jaded, or maybe the people who thought this was actually worth it need to get out more. The tram was packed, the... More

Went out of our way to go here. The ride lasted about four minutes, ends at a hospital entrance, and yes you get a nice view of Portland, but through glass, so you can't take photos. Not worth it. And if you ignore my reco, at least be sure to grab BOTH tickets that print when you buy your ticket... More

During our Portland visit, last July,we had to visit one of the medical institutes in the city. So nice to know that the best way to reach that complex of centers is with the Aerial tram.we"ve noticed that lot of the patients and the medical personal are using this nice quick and spectacular transportation . The cost is very moderate and... More

Saw this advertised in the airport and thought it would be fun. But when we got there and took it up, we found out it just went up to a bunch of hospitals so we came right back down. There were great views of Portland, but not worth it to me. Good thing we only paid a few bucks each.
