It's just $4 round trip. It is a very short ride though, only about two mins each way but beautiful views of the city!

This aerial tram is well worth a visit whilst in Portland. The lower tram station is easily accessible using light rail. You need to purchase a ticket to ride the tram up and back down and it is very reasonably priced. It is free to ride the aerial tram down, if you have already got to the top using some... More

I always take the street car to the Tramway stop, get out but a ticket and take the tramway up to the hospitals and walk around and find spectacular views all over the many facilities. Even have lunch up there sometimes.

The Tram is an amazing experience (when you are taking it for fun and not for an actual medical situation). Save the visit for a sunny day for the clearest pictures. There is a fee if you are going up (unless you have an appointment at the top of the hill) but not coming down. At the bottom there are... More

Incredible views of the city and the mountains beyond. A little out of the centre of the city ( we took the tram and streetcar there) but well worth it. Be warned though that the payment machines only take coins or cards - no notes so at $4 you'll need a pocketful of change.

Can't beat the price of the Portland aerial tram. $4.00 roundtrip from the bottom or free from the top, (although, not sure how you would get to the top in the first place). It is free for students and hospital staff. Unless you enjoy touring medical facilities, the only reason to ride if you are a tourist are the views... More

Day was not completely clear, but we could see Mount Hood and Mt St Helens quite well. With all the walking we did, it was a nice break.

Fun for the $4 per person. Great views at the top and our driver was quite charming. It's probably a unique way to get to work for the employees of the medical center. For visitors it's a fun, hour or so up, look around at the view and back down. Great break from more active travel pursuits but maybe not... More

I know what you're thinking. "What is a Alpine ski lift doing here in Portland?" Remember "Keep Portland Weird" - There might be many good answers to why and how and how much (did this thing cost), just get a ticket and take the ride! If you'd like something to do when you get off the tram, start your journey... More
