Its hard to find the parking lot, so we park on a street near the sky bridge. You get a good view of the tram and area below that way too. We took the tram up and down. I think it was about 7 dollars round trip. The view is fantastic and you do get a good lay of the... More

This is not only a fun ride but the view from the sumit is fantastic. The cable car runs from the river and the end of the line for the trolley car to the hospital at the summit. It reminded me of the cable cars in the Alps. On a clear day you can see Mount St. Hellen's and Mount... More

Not to be missed on a clear day. In winter time, pick a clear cold day for views of Mt. Hood to the east, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier to the north plus all the sky lines and two rivers - Willamette and Columbia. The tram is city owned public transportation - think bus on a rope - connecting... More

The ride is short. The tram really ins't meant to be a tourist attraction. It is the quickest way to get the to hospital and university campus at the foot of the hill. It is a really great way to get orientate to Portland as a city. The view from the tram is wonderful. Walk around the hospital and enjoy... More

The Tram operators were very nice and courteous. It's a short ride up. While on the observation deck, I was able to get pictures of Mount St. Helens and Mt. Hood. Also, you can view the city and the beautiful surroundings. Other than that, it's time to take a trip back down the tram. I think we paid $4 per... More

The tram takes you on a short ride to the top with lovely views on a clear day. A great way for employees of the hospital (at the top) to get to work if they happen to live in the apartments just next to the tram station at the bottom. Ride was smooth and fun for our grandkids. It was... More

Yes it is a short ride but the view on a clear day is really nice. It is very smooth and the operator is very courteous. Yes it's main function is to transport hospital workers between campuses, but hey it is open to the public and was a nice side trip. I admit once at the top it is pretty... More

I took the tram because I read that it was a "must see" and I must say I was a little disappointed. Like some other reviewers have said this is more of a mode of public transportation than an attraction. The majority of the people on the tram are going between OHSU locations. When you arrive at the top you... More

The tram was a nice find, the ride provided a nice view of the area and a spot to take pictures once you're at the top (which is the entrance to a hospital). The ride is fairly short and surprisingly smooth (compared to other cable trams I've taken), so you won't spend much time in the tram itself. It's really... More
