A fun and easy way to see all of Portland spread before you. Kids love it. I'd recommend taking the tram to the hospital, then getting off to wait for the next one, taking in the view of the city from the observation deck. Then when you return have lunch or a snack at the nearby food carts (the salad... More

This is not a good stop for visitors unless you really want to get that view of Portland. It starts at the South Waterfront area, and goes straight up to OHSU. So unless you want to visit a hospital, it's not really worth the ride.

Fun thing to do for some quick entertainment. Parking was easy to find and was only $2 an hour. The ride was fun up and down and we got to see some beautiful views. Doesn't take much time at all so a great quick activity.

Loved taking the tram up to OHSU. Seeing Mt. Hood on a clear day is a bonus! If you've ever driven on I-5 and watched the tram cross over you, you should take the time to ride it. Upon arrival at OHSU you can get a feel for all of the medical services offered there. You will share the tram... More

It's always nice to get an aerial view of the city but it would be even more interesting if the trip didn't terminate in a hospital, perhaps something a bit more exciting or even interesting at the top would have made it more satisfying. Even a cafe or a souvenir shop would have given the experience a bit more authenticity.

The tram is a great way to get a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and downtown Portland with the Willamette River. The ride has a small bump at towards the bottom that makes it kind of exciting but otherwise is very calming. Very quiet. It's also worthwhile to walk around the garden area on the upper floors of the hospital... More

This is a very fast and handy way to get up to the hospital (NOTE: If you are a patient or visiting one, you can ride and park for free. Just ask for details at the desk inside the building above the parking garage). In addition to the views of Portland and Mount Hood, keep your eyes out to see... More

My family enjoys hiking up from the South Waterfront to the OHSU tram platform. This way we can remain cheap and ride the tram completely free. The hike up is only about 1.25 miles. If you are lost, just look for the tram cables and head up. Good for about 1.5 hours. My 5 year old loves it.

Short trip, but nice view of the city. Went on the weekend and the tram speed is a bit faster, so a little rocking on the way up, which was fun.

The view from the top is fantastic, you can see across the river and to the mountains. It is very reasonably priced as well, well worth a visit.
