Caught a matinee on a rainy day. The seating is very comfortable and the theaters are small and intimate. Not your typical movie going experience - this is a lot better than a huge multiplex. Great location downtown near Powell's Books.

Love this little comfortable theater in downtown Portland. They show almost all the independent arthouse type films that I want to see. I have to drive 4 hours to get here! But my city doesn't do much Indy film traffic. The staff is helpful & friendly. The seats are kind of stuffed armchairs, wide enough for a broad-shouldered dude like... More

My boyfriend and I caught a movie here with our friend who lives in Portland. It was a great way to spend a rainy day. The theater is pretty small compared to "normal" theaters. The location is right in the middle of the city where there are plenty of things to do. You get to choose your seats when you... More

While I am a movie fan, I seldom want to fight the crowds at the megaplex movie theaters but I do love going to the cozy and upscale Living Room Theater. The seats are comfortable and the floor isn't sticky! The movies shown here are usually independent or foreign rather than the big block buster, which is lovely. The food... More

We picked the seats we wanted while we purchased our tickets. We grabbed some coffee and found our seats which were very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the movie experience was great. They have a great restaurant in the lobby where you can have a meal, drinks, etc. it's a fun place.

I've been to many mcmennamins theaters over the years, and like the concept of eating while watching. This takes it up a notch. While the former is great if you want inexpensive, very casual, rarely sold out, fine. This is nice in that the movies are first run, seats are incredibly comfortable and food is great. That said, tickets are... More

We stumbled upon this theater and loved it! It is small and quaint. Comfy seats. Great, reasonably priced food and drink options that can be eaten in the bar or brought into the theater. Kids under 21 are allowed for movies that start before 7pm

I have been here twice over the summer, and both times were wonderful. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a high-class theater concerned that you are comfortable and enjoying yourself, while the prices are very affordable! On some days the tickets can be $4. You can get a meal beautifully served for only $6 (depending what you... More

I loved going to a unique movie theater. the food was great, but there were no tables to set stuff on. We really enjoyed the seating. I was in Portland for a trade conference and this was a great outing.

This theater really feels like your watching a great movie in someone's living room. With really comfortable seats and only thirty or so seats available per theater, it's intimate and fun for all. Since they have assigned seats for each movie you can buy your tickets early and get the best seat in the house! Also try something new from... More
