We were exploring PDX for a few days and are mainly day time explorers and it was a quiet Sunday night anyhow so a quick search led us to the movie times and a short walk took us to the place. We arrived thinking we'd just catch a movie but quickly realized we had stumbled upon an entirely new way... More

Do find a movie to enjoy at the Living Room Theater. You receive an assigned seat. Then order your meal and sit back to enjoy the service, food and movie. They do know how to treat you like royalty. And if nice bathrooms is on your list. You will enjoy how beautifully decorated and clean their restrooms are kept.

We took a break from our sightseeing to stop at this theater. The nice selection of smaller indy films was excellent. The restaurant in the entrance area had some nice choices, but we just enjoyed a cold beer before heading into the theater. The intimate size of the theater our movie was in (seating I would guess 40 or so)... More

I'm originally from Austin, and I expected something akin to Alamo Drafthouse. That is not the vibe that Living Room Theater is going for. The movies tend to be small and independent, theaters are pretty small, and frankly the food is okay at best. However, their bar selection was solid and the theaters are comfortable. It was a fun experience... More

Bar with a movie theater attached, or is it the other way 'round? Either way it was cool. The staff was super friendly and willing to recommend places to see, eat, and drink. We'd go back next time in Portland.

This is a great place for movie watching while relaxing in a comfortable lounge-like chair. The French onion soup I ordered to enjoy along with the movie was delicious. It was a new and different theater experience for me. There is another Living Room Theater in Boca Raton near where I live in South Florida. I will definitely be going... More

Love the concept if dinner, bar, and theatre! They have a nice sit down bar and restaurant for before or after the show. Or they will bring food to your theater seat. Popcorn served in big porcelain bowls...no cardboard. $5 movies on Monday and Tuesday, so this can't be beat. Centrally located in pearl district. Really fun !

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this theater. Shows indie films mainly, it appears, and we had such a hard time selecting which one - there were so many great options. Love the ability to have food and drinks while watching your film, as well. comfy chairs, not too big of a theater, and just a fun overall vibe.

While traveling around the United States I like to visit various independent theaters. Some are fantastic and some not so much. I had a lot of hope for this theater, but unfortunately too much went wrong the night I visited. I went to see the documentary about Roger Ebert called "Life Itself". The first challenge is to try and find... More
