Loved the seats and small theater experience where you can see movies not shown in regular big theatres. Saw Coherence and loved it. Love that you get to pick your seats. And popcorn is the good fresh stuff with lots of seasoning options that you do yourself. We went to an 11:50 showing and the theater opened just before, I... More

There are a few different chains that offer luxury seating movie theaters with or without a full bar and restaurant, but Living Room Theaters is among the best. The six theaters at the Portland location offer a choice of lounge chair or table seating. Plus, the often feature art or limited release films.

The chairs are what you might have in you living room, very comfortable. You can order drinks and dinner before you go in, they give you your drinks and bring your dinner to your seat. My wife and I asked to split a burger and they brought it to us on two plates with silverware. Monday and Tuesday are $5... More

Sit in comfortable chairs and have a glass of wine while watching first run movies in downtown Portland. Food is average but better than the trans fat popcorn you normally get.

The Living Room Theater attempts to create the experience of sitting on your couch with a big screen to watch the latest artistic film offering. Unfortunately, the brown cloth seats seem a bit beat up, making it a little too much like sitting in the living room of one of your friends who can't afford a new couch or a... More

My boyfriend and I were in Portland for only 3 days but we managed to get in two films here at LRT and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. There does, however, need to be a better system for dining in your seat rather than holding your plates on your lap. It's especially difficult for the wait staff as they have no... More

Great experience at Living Room Theaters overall. I really enjoy their selection of indie movies, and love the comfy chairs. We went twice this weekend and both times ended up in row B which was a little close. Also was disappointed there aren't built in trays in the seats, though we found out later there are plastic snap-on trays available.... More

We were exploring PDX for a few days and are mainly day time explorers and it was a quiet Sunday night anyhow so a quick search led us to the movie times and a short walk took us to the place. We arrived thinking we'd just catch a movie but quickly realized we had stumbled upon an entirely new way... More

Do find a movie to enjoy at the Living Room Theater. You receive an assigned seat. Then order your meal and sit back to enjoy the service, food and movie. They do know how to treat you like royalty. And if nice bathrooms is on your list. You will enjoy how beautifully decorated and clean their restrooms are kept.
