The Kennedy School is cool, but McMens food is typically only average. More

OK so this place serves beer. Not typical beers but really good beer. Plus the food is great. They have a variety of things to do here so look it up in advance and plan out your visit. More

Coming from the NE, McMenamins is just such a cool small local chain. their artistic aesthetic (which i still can't find a word for... "magical pastoral"?), their quality of food and beverage (not universal @ Every McMenamins site, but strong @ this one), their consistent eccentricity, their rehabilitation and preservation of historic buildings. Giving me hope in the "local chain". More

OK, this place is crazy... but fun. So much to look at. Our room was wonderful, clean and a cool class room. We stayed in a king. There was a cloak room and chalkboard. This place, for having so much on the walls and ceilings and being an old school, was very very clean. Some of the art pieces were... More

My sister took me here to see it. We had a dinner in the restaurant. I had a burger and salad, which was pretty good ($10). Happy hour runs a couple times a day with decent prices for things like fries ($2), tater tots ($2.50), and well drinks ($3.50), etc. Wouldn't recommend the fries but everything else was good. It's... More

My friend and I spent a delightful afternoon/early evening at the renovated Kennedy School. We had a good lunch, toured the building, watched "Hugo" in the old auditorium. Comfy chairs, take your glass of wine with you--you get the picture. Various old offices serve as bars, information centers, small shops throughout the building. The old wood floors were in good...
