Easiest access from Portland. Year round activities.

Ski Bowl has some great runs. It does have the old hard two person chair lifts, but they also tend to have the best prices. Their claim to fame is being the largest night skiing facility in N. America. The do have a bus that runs (for a fee) from different locations if you don't want to drive up the... More

Prices are fair is basic however they have the largest night ski area in the country and the prices are fair for everyone and wants to go if you're experienced I suggest you hang at the top of her bowl. The lower motors are just too slow

For beginners, there are nice cross country paths with a downhill on the end that is doable, if a little precarious. Don't make the mistake I once made: went up on the lift, tried to cross country down. High up it was really icy. Ouch. But otherwise, it's a fun family day!

We had a great day with great weather yesterday driving from Portland to Mt Hood. It was not ski time but we did have lunch and visit the Timberline Lodge. It is a lovely place with lots of history.

Never had time to get up close, but even from a distance it is lovely. When we left the Portland area on our tour it was bare, but on return three weeks later, pure white and you could see it from miles & miles away, serene.

If you have not been to Skibowl in the summer you need to go. There are so many attractions for people of all ages. My son had a blast on all of the high octane stuff and my 70 year old mom had a ton of fun doing the new tree walk. There is so much to do. Mt. Hood... More

Kinda lackluster, and it was a bit pricey. Wife had wanted to Zipline, and it was her birthday...That was the only activity we did, or wanted to do. There is so much other natural beauty to see.
