We went to a Timbers game on a whim and had an awesome time! The stadium is beautiful and so easy to get to. The "Timber's Army" is a rowdy section that keeps the entire game lively. There are great local beers/cider on tap as well including many different Widmer beers and 2 Towns Cider!

The stadium seemed very old and run down. The atmosphere was good. The fans were good to us the visiting teams fans. The food was good but expensive

Portland is "Soccer Town USA" with a great venue and spirited fans, especially the Timber's Army. Best to get tickets early as they often sell out. If your seats are in the Timber's Army section be ready to chant, cheer, boo and carry on with the Army. The only place in the USA where you will see goals celebrated with... More

The Portland Timbers may not win all their games and be #1 in the league, but don't tell that to the fans. PDX is "Soccer Town" USA, where Soccer is king. Timbers games are often sold out and fans, especially the "Timber Army" are one step shy of the rabid fans in the UK. Taking in a game is a... More

If you like sports you'll love going to see one of these games. The stadium is awesome. I'm not sure you can have a bad seat.

If you get the chance to get some tickets while visiting it is worth the money. Get some tickets in the Timbers Army section and get ready to chant and yell. One of those peculiar activities only available in the Northwest.

Attending a Timbers game is one of the best sporting events to attend in portland. Tickets are always available through secondary markets (even for the sounders $$). The stadium is compact, intimate and always raucous with the timber's army belting out songs. Worth a visit once in your life and so much more fun than baseball.

Love attending the Timbers games, even if the weather is not great. Fun atmosphere even if you have to take out a loan to buy some food and beverage during the games. Much better to take MAX then try to park any where even remotely close to the stadium. Always a fun time!

Went to husband's work night thing on one of their patios. While I was glad not to be in the stand seating, we were right next to "the army" section. Wow, do they get into it. Chanting songs and traditions that seemed so fun. It can't help but put a smile on your face. Crazy but fun.

I didn't know there were so many die-hard soccer fans in a US city. If you can get tickets to a match, do it. It's a fun atmosphere, even if you don't especially like the team or the sport.
