Try Helium comedy club. My wife and I went to see Greg Proops he was pretty good but way too political I enjoyed it but my wife found it off putting. The food was worth the money we had nachos (decent) pork sliders (not so good) BLT ( best ever). Atmosphere was great and we plan on going back to... More

I like the SE area as there is street parking close to the event. First time I have been to a comedy club in Portland so I cannot compare to others. My wife and I were seated right in front of the stage even though we did not pay for reserve tickets. What a bonus. The club is clean and... More

we get to Helium and can't be seated yet. We did a birthday group thing all the girls, it was fun. However, when we went upstairs to the ticket line/bar we got heckled by a group of you know-you knows for being "pretty dressed up ladies." Now this place is very Portlandia.... A very colorful SE Portland crowd. So if... More

Saw Margaret Cho on her last night. The staff was helpful and professional, the venue is larger than one thinks but the sight lines and sound are excellent. Everything went very smoothly. The Village Vanguard in NYC has a one drink minimum so having a two drink minimum in Portland should not be that big a deal.

Great smaller venue. Worst seat in the house still only 15 rows away. I'm always sketchy if I don't know the comedian but this place always gets the best. Great job being done by their talent booker

This was my first visit to Helium and I enjoyed it. We went with friends and had ordered our tickets online. The staff all seemed nice and the service was actually better than I expected. A suggestion I would make is to have a few more servers working the floor during the show. We saw our server 2 times total... More

Helium attracts very big names in comedy for such a small club. They change weekly so there is always a different show. I been 4 times now and always had a great experience with the comedians. The club itself could use improvement. We usually get there early for general admission but have had mixed experiences with the seating. There were... More

I love good comedy and this wasn't it. Additionally it makes good sense to go early so you can get good seats. We were seated in the back corner and couldn't hear or see well. Heather McDonald was not very funny and may have had a bad night. Acoustics are clearly an issue in the back corner with higher voices... More

I have been here twice now and both times I had very good experiences. The MC were funny, the headliners were fantastic and the wait staff were on the ball. I will definitely be comming back to get my funny on and leave with my sides hurting from laughing so much!! And just an FYI - there is a 2... More

We paid $40 each for tickets. The person we wanted to see dropped out and Helium offered us a refund or the offer to see someone else. We decided to go ahead and couldn't have been happier. All three comedians were awesome. They also gave us free tickets to a future show as compensation for the change. The only downside... More
