It's hard to find time in my day to relax. I'm constantly running around for work and family. I make it a point to take 90 minutes a week out for myself to go and float. The benefits stay with me for days. I've started calling floating my mental recharge. It's definitely worth a try. I'd suggest doing it more... More

I went floating for the first time last July. I am a stay-at-home mom and was in desperate need of silence. I had read on their website that they were doing a project with local artists. I was worried that it would be "record store pretentious". I was pleasantly surprised to find the employees to be knowledgeable and welcoming. I... More

I am now officially a floater. I just have to find one of these places close to home. Or open one myself. I wasn't sure what to expect because I am naturally restless and did not know if i could be calm for 90 minutes. And I am a bit of a skeptic but I have to try everything before... More

I ended up here thanks to an old groupon and a love of the Simpsons episode where Homer and Lisa go. It's great that they have multiple options for soaking tubs and one has a high ceiling for people who are worried about claustrophobia. I won't comment much on the experience of being in the chamber because I think that's... More

I really enjoyed my first float! I want to get a gift certificate for everyone I know. I thought the people were friendly, rooms/showers were clean..It was on par with a massage. But less money! Although I'm tempted to double the time next visit. More

.......I couldn't possibly put into words what this experience was like. Amazing doesn't really sum it up. It was peaceful, relaxing, invigorating, enlightening all rolled up into one amazing 90 minutes. The best part of this was that the feeling of lightness and peace lasted the entire night and into the next day! Both my husband and I floated, a... More

This was my husband and my first time floating. The staffing was extremely helpful in getting us started and answering questions. The facilities are spotlessly clean. The floating experience itself was amazing. The 90 minutes went by very fast. I was not sure how I would like it, but we both very much enjoyed it. I felt relaxed all day... More

When we first heard about floating, we didn’t know what to think. But we’re so glad we tried it and doing it at Float On was a wonderful 1st experience. It was one of our favorite things in Portland. The staff is super chill and willing to answer any questions you may have and the showers, waiting area, and float... More

Where do I start? On our honeymoon we decided to go to Portland specifically to Float. After all the good things we've heard about the sensory deprivation tank, we had to get inside one. Since our trip brought us to the west coast of Canada we researched where the closest float center was. To our surprise the were none we... More
