Friendly guides make it fun, sharing stories of local culture and history, while you sample some of the best food in town. On all of our tours, we make 6-7 stops featuring casual eateries, higher end restaurants, a food cart, an educational stop, and a dessert location that reflect the way we eat in Portland. On tour, you may sample local craft beer, seasonal small plates, cocktails, tiny artisan cookies, micro-batch coffee, food cart goodness, and more, made with the ingredients & creativity that Oregon is famous for. You'll get the stories behind the tastes with your expert culinary guide. We offer tours in three of the city's greatest neighborhoods! Alphabet District Tour: Friday afternoons. Mississippi Ave Tour: Saturday & Sunday afternoons. Downtown & The Pearl District Tour, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. We enjoyed every minute of this tour! Definitely come hungry because it is a LOT of food! Marissa was a great tour guide and really took time to answer questions and talk to each group on the tour. She was very knowledgeable of the food scene in Portland as was Heidi who sat in on our tour. We enjoyed trying... More

wonderful way to experience a foodie city like Portland. Loved getting a taste of the food trucks along with a good mix of ethnic and high end restaurants. Super food experience and great guide with Kelsey. So informative and knowledgeable about each of the restaurants and their unique specializations! Very enjoyable.

I did a Forktown tour of NW Portland a few years back and came back for another when they started doing Downtown and the Pearl District. I'm a local who works and eats downtown regularly and was curious to see how the Forktown team would represent this part of our town's food culture. They didn't disappoint - the experience was... This was not only an informative tour on Portland History, but the food was fantastic at every stop. We sampled Thai, Philly food from a food truck, Salt and chocolate samplings, great burgers and fries with truffle oil and finished it off with ice cream . . . . all on Mississippi Ave! Kelsey was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly.... More

We took the tour on Sunday before Veteran's day, led by Marissa-there were only 2 couples-it was great! We learned the history of the neighborhood and ate until we couldn't do it anymore. When they say it's a food tour-it's not just tasting...worth the $! The weather was fantastic and the food/drink delicious! We stayed downtown and caught the #4... More

My wife and I love good food so a food tour was perfect to discover restaurants we would have never thought of going to. All restaurants were very accommodating for substituting the alcoholic beverage. The guide was fun and very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and Portland history. We got to go to many different style of restaurants going to pud,... More

My husband and I took the Mississippi historic district food tour led by Kelsy a couple of weeks ago, and I can't stop talking about it. The tour was smart, spiced with well balanced offerings, filled with facts from history, land use, environmental issues, a very good exposure to THE BASIC FOOD (chocolate). Nice, nice people, certainly service oriented. So glad... More

For a birthday, we planned a food-filled trip to Portland. We had booked a brunch at Beast (loved it!) and then went on the N Mississippi tour starting around 1pm. We opted to walk from Beast in an effort to get hungry again and since the weather was so pretty, it worked well. The tour was not very walking intensive... More

Good intro to local eating in central Portland. Small group(6), knowledgeable local guide and hearty portions of food & drink. No need for lunch or dinner with 2-5pm tour.
