Description: Join us on our guided, culinary walking tours and taste your way through...
Join us on our guided, culinary walking tours and taste your way through some of Portland's most delicious neighborhoods from fine dining to food carts. Friendly guides make it fun, sharing stories of local culture and history, while you sample some of the best food in town. On all of our tours, we make 6-7 stops featuring casual eateries, higher end restaurants, a food cart, an educational stop, and a dessert location that reflect the way we eat in Portland. On tour, you may sample local craft beer, seasonal small plates, cocktails, tiny artisan cookies, micro-batch coffee, food cart goodness, and more, made with the ingredients & creativity that Oregon is famous for. You'll get the stories behind the tastes with your expert culinary guide. We offer tours in three of the city's greatest neighborhoods! Alphabet District Tour: Friday afternoons. Mississippi Ave Tour: Saturday & Sunday afternoons. Downtown & The Pearl District Tour, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Our tour schedule varies seasonally, so please check our website for more details and to buy tickets!

We did the Mississippi St tour with Ana and we highly recommend it! We made six stops: Thai food, burgers, cocktails and tapas, Italian food truck, Salt & Chocolate, and ice cream. All the food was very good with the burger being our favorite. Portions were larger than a tasting tour, but smaller than a full meal. In any event,... More

This was a great food tour. Plenty of food and a great selection of offerings. We enjoyed each stop. Great value for the money and enough walking to get you ready for the next stop. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, and interesting to listen to. Portland has a lot to offer foodies and this was a good representation.

Ariel did a great job. We had a really fun group and a great variety of delicious food and beer. We were stuffed by the end! The next time we're in Portland we'll definitely take one of the other tours they offer.

We did the Division Street tour, which apparently is one of their newest tours. Feeling ambitious, we stopped in at Salt & Straw for some ice cream before the tour. By the third stop, I was feeling the consequences of overeating! All of the food was absolutely delicious. Some of the stops feature local beer or a cocktail, but you... More

I've been on a lot of food tours around the world and while this tour was pretty good, I've been on much better. The food was all delicious and varied and our tour guide, Ana, was energetic and upbeat. I did the N. Mississippi Ave tour and I just wish she had provided more history and context for the area... We did the N. Mississippi Ave. tour. Go hungry is all I can say. Portions are generous and I was full by the third stop! Food was good....especially the Thai place. Tour informative and fun. Would definitely recommend this tour. In fact...it was my husbands favorite part of our trip!

Ariel was our tour guide for the Downtown & The Farmer's Market food tour, which my wife and I really enjoyed. My three favorites were the two food carts, the Kargi Gogo and El Taco Yucateco and the Farmer's Market. While the BADRIJANI was interesting (Eggplant), the KHINKALI (Stuffed Georgian Dumplings) were outstanding at Kargi. The Panuchos at El Taco... More

The food was incredible, as was the variety. Loved our tour guide, Ana. Really helped us choose meal spots for later in our trip. We went back to several of our stops. Looking forward to our next trip to Portland and another Forktown Food Tour!

My foodie partner and I highly recommend Forktown’s North Mississippi Avenue Tour. As visitors from NYC, we enjoyed learning the history of this authentic Portland neighborhood, with facts about favorite restaurants, their owners and culinary delights. Excellent restaurant selection provided a variety of tasty food, plate size and liquid refreshments. Anha Austin, our tour guide, has a nice rapport with... More

Totally enjoyed the food tour. Tried restaurants and foods that I would not have chosen on my own. Particularly enjoyed the Kargi Gogo food cart. I hope to make it back to Portland just so I can do another food tour!
