Awesome! Not to be missed. Scenery that can only be seen while in the middle of the river. Going through the locks at Bonneville was an great experience and then time at Cascade Locks for lunch or a visit at the Brewery. Captain Jess (girl, you are awesome)was great at handling the boat. One of the best tours in Portland is the Columbia Gorge jet boast tour by Portland Spirit. Captain Tim was superb in handling the jet boat and explained the boat prior to departure. Alana, boat's Manager was very knowledgeable about the river and sights along the river. The locked were very interesting and awesome to watch. At Cascade Locks for... More

The Outrageous is now called Explorer and no matter what the name it's a great trip up the river. The trip goes from Salmon St. Dock to Cascade Locks. It takes about 7 hours round trip, so allow yourself the day. The trip stops at the Locks Waterfront grill for lunch. You'll see lots of birds along the way and... More

We took this trip from Portland to Astoria on a very rainy blustery day two years ago, and had the best time ever! Despite the weather, the captain was very entertaining and informative, the boat trip itself was so much fun, the layover in Astoria was great! We got to savor the fish dinners served at a landmark place (actually... More

It was a little foggy the morning we took the boat and land package. By the time we made it to the Columbia River Gorge, it was sunny and in the 70's! For $99 an adult, you get the jet boat tour of 60 miles of the Columbia river Gorge, a trip through the Bonneville Locks, a $10 lunch voucher... More

I had a beautiful, sunny September day for my cruise to Astoria on the Outrageous. We left as scheduled and took a slow tour through downtown as the guide talked about the history of the many bridges and some buildings along the river. Once out of town they opened the throttle and there was more of just watching the scenery... More

Wear a rain coat - it's part of the fun. Our captain was terrific - part historian part race boat driver. You see things not visible from roads, a nice perspective on the city. Highly recommend.

We took the Outrageous Jet Boat trip from Portland to Astoria in September 2009. We called the office a couple of days ahead to book, then showed up early in the morning for the ride. They were a teeny bit disorganized and the trip started a little late, but finally we were underway. The crew consisted of the "captain" and... More
