Oregon Zoo has created some amazing habitats for the animals and continues to grow. Love the concerts in the summer and if you're a member they have some fun member nights. There's always something new going on,so annual passes are great and pay for themselves with a couple of visits. Passes also give you access to Zoolights, and you definately... More

My 3 kids and I headed to the Oregon Zoo one morning to let them run off some energy and see the animals. The kids LOVED our time there. I appreciated that the Oregon Zoo recognized our ZooAtlanta membership and gave us a large discount on admission. The day we visited was pretty cold and there was a lot of... More

We found the zoo by accident when we were visiting Washington Park for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The admission cost wasn't as bad as other zoos and was a lot nicer. There were animals we had never seen at other zoos, like hippos so that was nice. We got there in the afternoon so many of the... More

It's very crowded with baby buggies, and the different sections are depressing. I cried when I saw the elephant, who was so depressed, that he just kept swinging his trunk back in forth in and out of the pool with a tiny bit of straw. The grounds are nice, but I was so depressed I left.

I just love the Oregon zoo in Portland. It is well laid out and clean. Good variety of animals. During the Christmas time, the zoo lights are awesome. A great place for a date night, no matter how old the daters. And if visiting from another city, you can ride the MAX to the zoo for an added adventure.

We visited the Portland Zoo Lights exhibit last weekend, and were lucky to miss the rain. However, the lines are long. You can purchase your admission AND train tickets online, saving you at least 90 minutes. We were blown away at the long lines still in place when we left at 8:15, and the exhibit is set to close at... More

Just visited on a crazy-weather day: sunshine alternated with pouring rain, sun and snow! Really appreciated the fact that one can walk from one covered area to another, and get inside a lovely warm building at any time. Favorites this time: Hammerkops courting and nesting in the East Africa aviary; Slender-shouted crocodiles swimming around actively, with a close-up view of... More

It was a nice Zoo, but being from Omaha is I have been spoiled by one of the best Zoo's in the country, but went here several times with my Grandson and we enjoy it every time. It is well maintained and there is a great variety of animals. I would recommend it for anyone that enjoys Zoos

went several times to polar exhibit. rather become extinct than live in concrete. neurotic tonic movements. learned in lecture that the elephants that have foot problems would have probably been slaughtered in africa. ultimately the "wild " animal thing is over. time we just go on with what's left and try to save ourselves???? BTW..was just in west africa to... More
