The Oregon zoo is magical Tucked up on top of the hill you can see the whole city. Winding through lush green paths covered with trees look over the bridge to see California Brown Bears. Continue walking and looking over the water up through trees you will find bald eagles. Continue down the path walking down below the trees and... More

Cute zoo but there was a lot of construction going on. On top of that the Elephants were not available! This is ok for an afternoon of fun.

The zoo was a wonderful 7 hour excursion -- seeing all the animals. We even got to see bat feeding -- so COOL and training the cheetah. The food on grounds was not high priced which was nice. The sad part was the amount of construction - no elephants or zebras this trip. Elephants area done Nov 2015 and the... More

Was the first time to the zoo without kids. Would have to say did not meet my expectations. Zoo key not a good use of $2.50. I would rather have donated the money. Half of the narratives didn't work and the other half you couldn't hear. A few of the animal habitats were very run down. I was quit disappointed... More

A fun place to take the kids! Lots of things to see.It gets crowded with kids and strollers on the weekend so if you want a less frenzied experience go during the weekday. The new elephant is under construction until Nov. 2015 so things are a mess and the elephants are not on display. Some of the displays in the... More

Always love a visit to the Zoo. Today was great except the train. It was a short trip nothing to see. Will come back again and again but will skip the train next time until they have the longer route available.

The Portland Zoo has been a favorite place to go with my kids as they grew up. Now that the kids have grown up it still is a great place to go.

Chi chi shops and eateries, funky galleries, and such do not compensate for the loss of a community. Even the arts events impinge on the neighborhood. So, we try to shop and eat elsewhere, since Portland has so many other great places.
