I have not been here since I was a kid. I forgot what an excellent zoo it is. The animals are active and do not seem bored. The parking lot was full, as was the overflow, but it did not seem crowded on the inside. The "Great Northwest" section was of particular interest to my toddler. I have always loved... More

This is one of the nicer zoos I have visited. Not the massive attraction that the Bronx or San Diego Zoo is but for 11.50 for adults you can not go wrong, especially if you're already at Washington Park visiting the Rose Garden or one of the other nearby attractions. The species of animals is large and varied. Local animals... More

Normally not a big fan of zoos but the Portland one does such a great job with their animals. The focus is always on the animals safety/comfort as opposed to what pleases an audience. Keep in up Portland!

This is a small zoo but a very good one to visit. The animal enclosures are large compared to other zoos and the settingsd are very natural. They don't have a particularly large range of exhibits, but what they do have is very good. I particularly enjoyed the bears, the lions, the giraffes, and the tiger. The only disappointing part... I gone to two Zoo concerts this summer: I saw Chicago, Cheap Trick, and Peter Frampton. Great Venue at the Zoo. Admission to the concert includes a ticket to the zoo, so you can spend the whole day if you want. The only down size and the only reason I did not give it a 5 rating is because you... More

This is one of the most expansive and fun to explore zoos that we have ever been to in the world. Time flies when you are here. The animals are so fun to watch in the large enclosures.

Too spread apart and never see much. Seems to get updated a lot but you never really get a better look at the animals. When I did the train ride it was way too hot and I almost baked to death, my fault.

Get here early and you'll have a great time! Parking was easy and the zoo was not crowded. Stayed here for a couple hours and were able to see almost all the animals. Nice layout and the train was a pleasant surprise. We were only able to do the short track but my son still loved every minute of it.... More

Such a pretty zoo, lots of animals, a good size zoo. It was very reasonably priced at about $11. We did the zoo and Aurborarium the same day. A free shuttle takes you to several attractions in the park.
