Spectacular view and gorgeous roses

So many beautiful roses all in one place and the view is the the best overlooking the entire city of Portland. There is no charge for looking and smelling.

This garden is just so beautiful. After you visit, you just want to go home and start a rose garden. It is very hard to pick a favorite with all the gorgeous bushes.

With careful planning and good maintenance, you can enjoy a beautiful blooming garden that your friends and neighbors will admire. OR you can go to the Test Garden and see amazing collections of roses and gardens already growing FOR FREE. Perched above the city this is the place to bring family, there are well groomed concrete paths to walk and... More

The variety of roses (and other plantings) is wonderful, and if you are a gardener, this is a must. The view over Portland and to Mount Hood on a clear day is magnificent. This garden is easily combined with the beautiful Japanese garden just up the hill.

Love to see the roses every summer - you can see so many varieties and enjoy lovely scents. Our kids like picking their favorite ones. Great views on a clear day.

Great views from here. It's a gorgeous place. And best of all it's free. A nice place to spend a sunny afternoon.

This is like the Disneyland of roses. Even for my friends who don't think of themselves as floral-folk LOVE these gardens. The views of the city, the access to the walking trails, and oh - the smell of those roses!!! Wow.

We got married in the Shakespeare Garden; the whole area (Elephant House, Japanese Garden, Ampitheater, Archery Range, etc.) holds many more memories from a lifelong Portlander.
