the waterfront park is a very busy park. a lot of joggers, runners and cycling activity going on so as a pedestrian you should pay attention where you go. it's there world, not yours. all in all, it's a nice park, a good way to cross portland from south north, start a little bit after the aerial tram and continues... The Waterfront offers beautiful views of the Willamette River and on clear days Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helen's. Its a great place to go for a run, rent a boat or water jets/skis, people watch, catch impromptu entertainment, go to the always interesting Saturday Market (on Sundays, too), or attend one of the many festivals offered throughout the spring,... Walking through this park was a neat way to see more of Portland on my short stay. I enjoyed the views of the bridges and the downtown area. Watch out for all the seagulls!

The children loved playing in all the water fountains. Was probably their site seeing highlight of the trip. Bring a swim suit and towel.

The riverfront is slightly run down from what I remember it being a decade ago. But it offers a large space for bicycling, walking or jogging.

Beautiful walk by the Willamette RIver. Plenty of activity there. Walk, kayak, etc. Often have events on the weekend. Everything is nearby. Great views.

Great path for walking along the river. Neat bridges, some boats to see, good people watching. Lots of cyclists; bike rentals and multi-person bike contraptions to rent. Tour boat, also. Also a lot of street people sleeping but no problem with them. Fun water features to play in on a hot summer day.

I went there last year during the month of June after the Rose Festival was over with. It was nice. There is so much to see and water fountains that you can play in. The river runs right next to it and there are lots of trees throughout the park. I would love to go there when the spring blossoms... More

I visited the waterfront park several times while in Portland. A great place to run, walk or bike, it is also nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors or people watch. The park is always busy, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
