I found the Mecca of Farmer Markets

This is by far the best farmers market I've been to. So much to see here. Tip: fill up on all the free samples. There are plenty and you can get full and not spend a dime. I... read more

This is by far the best farmers market I've been to. So much to see here. Tip: fill up on all the free samples. There are plenty and you can get full and not spend a dime. I bought some local produce home along with homemade kimchi that is locally grown and produced in Portland. I go every Saturday and... More

This outdoor market is a gem--located in the South Park Blocks smack dab in the middle of PSU, it offers the relaxed atmosphere of a campus (not much vehicle traffic near the market), but all the vibe of a hopping foody festival, along with some great music! We live nearby, and often meander down to the market on Saturdays just... More

Absolutely the best! The quantity and quality of fresh fruits and vegetables is astounding! I could not believe the size of some of the radishes, and everything was clean and colorful. The food carts as well--nicely organized and a great variety of different foods--breakfasts, lunches and snack type foods. Experimental (to me) new things to try, and the fact that... More

The Portland Farmers Market in SW Portland near downtown is a little bit of France. Since it started several years ago it has grown to a big outdoor market. The farmers come in Saturday morning and set up their booths. The quality is superb. There are food vendors which sell everything to crepes to biscuits and gravy. There is something... More

I have only amazing things to say about this beautiful farmers market nestled into the PSU campus. There were at least 100 booths selling fine/cured meats, cheeses, best produce & vegetables, etc... The place is in a big tree covered park & if you like to try wines, meads, beers & hard alcohol you will be in heaven. Most farmers... More

Amazing food (cooked and raw ingredients). I had the fresh Mexican. It was simply Amazeballs. This is a ligit farmers market where the locals come and buy their fresh produce/flowers so not alot of random chachkies.

Some of the most amazing, fresh produce I have seen in my life. Samples and tastings galore! Go here around lunch time and graze all the while listening to some local music. Loved this place!

I visited Portland in the month of January; not the most not obvious time for a farmer's market. But, the market exceeded any possible expectations. There were about 50 stalls open exhibiting a variety of freshly made sausages, sheep and goat cheeses, six different patés ranging from duck to pheasant, breads, empanadas, many root vegetables including beetroot, kale hakurei turnips,... Loved this market at Portland State University. A potpourri of fresh and prepared food in a wonderful park like setting. We rode our bikes there which made it easy to get around as it is busy (bring your locks as you are in the city). Six + types of tomatoes, carrots, beets, kale, mushrooms, etc. all looking absolutely gorgeous. I... More

Biked over to PSU Park Blocks from Riverplace to stock up on fresh greens for the week. To our delight, what was expected to be a quick jaunt became a full morning of entertainment by acapella masters "The Portland Timbres" (Clever name). We pleasured our palates with fresh brick oven baked pizza, a gooey blueberry pastry and a nice spot... More
