Very trendy and upscale shops, delightful restaurants, and smaller fun stores line the streets. Everything from great coffee, wonderful pizza by the slice, exquisite desserts, and a huge assortment of places to browse line the street. The only difficulty is finding a place to park so public transportation is a very good option.

I love to stroll up and down the street here, great shopping. Small local shops and some bigger stores such as Pier 1 and Pottery Barn. Kitchen Kaboodle is the go to place for kitchen stuff. I have always loved this area, has great cafes and coffee shops too.

I'm partial: I was born on NW 23rd at Good Sam. It's morphed over the years, but still retains much of it's flavor: old house are transformed into small retail spaces and boutiques; even the big-box stores off Everett Street are terrific. Papa Haydn's for dessert (or Salt and Straw if you can get in). You can start at Burnside... More

Nob Hill NW 23rd is the coolest area of Portland. Lots of eccentric shops in old homes. Be sure and look up and downstairs of each home to find the hidden gem of a shop or dining experience. Saint cupcakes, Salt and Straw ice cream and too many too mention. A great local hang out and a street welcome to... More

Rented a condo on 24th street and took full advantage of the entire Nob HIll neighborhood. It was fun, beautiful and full of excellent shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The street was full of people and there was no shortage of things to see and do. One of the best neighborhoods in Portland!

We loved walking around, and window shopping through the many stores. We mostly enjoyed looking at the beautiful homes. Next time I come in town, I'll definitely try to stay in the area.

I have stayed in a wonderful bed and breakfast in this area and you hardly need to go anywhere else in Portland except for sight seeing. I have dined, shopped, enjoyed walking in the gorgeous residential area, seen the city lit up at night from the top of the hill, and even gotten a massage. It is truly a lovely... More
