Quiet, peaceful place.

Fun, easy hikes. Great dunes for reading and ocean gazing. Beautiful, soft sand. Can have it all to yourself in spring.

Pacific City's long beach, between Cape Kiwanda to the north and Bob Staub State Park on Nestucca Spit to the south, is the home of the only beach-launched dory fishing fleet in the world. Early dories were double-ended and oar-powered; today's versions mostly have squared-off sterns and outboard motors. They still launch from the beach, and come sliding back onto... More

Even in winter the beach is supreme. Deserted and lovely, these dunes are supreme. A misty day in the 50's - great for hiking and enjoying the surf.

Undeveloped and conserved area of beach, dunes and dune vegetation. A loop trail goes along the dunes above the beach to a spit at the mouth of the Nestucca River and then along the river back to the trailhead. The trail is about 7 mi. and we only walked a couple of miles - didn't get to the mouth of... More

It's a nice little Park and out of the way, easy beach access. Easy parking and a restroom. BTW, Bob Straub was a Governor of Oregon.

Words escape to describe how beautiful the ocean view is here. The sand dunes and stretch of this amazing beach is breathtaking. I just lied in the sun and took in the warm caress of the sun. Do yourself a favor and escape to This awesome beach!

One of our favorite places on the entire coast! Simply beautiful with gorgeous sunsets and always something to see and do! One can spend day after day here and never bore of the sights and smells-- and there's good food and a gourmet espresso right within your grasp! Can't wait to be back!

This was a beautiful spot. Quiet clean dunes to walk over and an uncrowded walk on the beach. I wish we could have stayed longer.
