Lots of parking, lots of surfers (even in January)...beach is not that big...a few areas for anemones and dead crabs...just a nice short stop

My husband and and I were traveling with a friend couple along Highway 101 down the Pacific Coast to California. This was mentioned in all the travel literature and it IS worth the time to stop. Viewing of the punch bowl is close to the parking lot and it's worth about 10-20 minutes of your time. You'll probably want to... More

The thing I have learned about the Oregon coast is that it is beautiful, dangerous, and worth stopping to take in the view. As often as possible, stop and take in the view. It may seem odd to name these formations in the water that alter how the water moves, but there is a reason... they are fascinating to watch... More

Visit this incredible natural area when the tide is high to see the best show. Powerful and peaceful in one stroke.

It is a natural attraction. Viewing of the punch bowl is close to the parking lot and it's worth about 10 minutes of your time. There may be hikes and more than simply viewing the punch bowl itself. We didn't look into that. "They" surmise that this was a cave at one time and that the ceiling, then collapsed on... More

Lots of fun in the high winds. Take your camera and capture the kids leaning into the wind. Waves crashing and white caps make for an exciting trip. Pay no attention to the review about crime as this is one of the lowest crime rated cities. Just be smart enough to not leave valuables in plain sight but that's common... More

Loved the the view! Try to catch the area at high tide for best viewing. Then wine tasting or Mo's for lunch/dinner!

This is a beautiful area to stop at but the small hike is definitely for the sure footed. Do not leave anything you value in the car. We were only here for 20 minutes and somebody broke into the back of my boyfriends pickup and stole a bag of clothing

This spot is best appreciated during high tide during a storm when there is lots of wave action, but then beware you'll probably be wind blown and make sure you wear some rain gear.

The punch bowl is worth a stop. You can see water churning. You will also see natural erosion as some of the old walkway has fallen. Picnic tables and restroom on site.
