Worth the short jaunt off the Highway. No cost to stop and take a look. Easy parking and access. If you are planning to walk on the beach, be prepared to hike down and up steep stairs. Most resource list this as an area for Tide pools. Tide pools are not readily accessible from this park. you must go north... More

When you walk up to look down at it, it looks a little scary. Its really cool and there are lots of little trails near it.

Stopped in on our way down the Oregon Coast. Didn't know what to expect. It was a pretty neat thing seeing the water pouring into the rock formations. (You don't see that in Ohio). I would recommend stopping in. But, before you do, make sure you take the Otter Creek drive off of 101 to the north of the park.... More

This is it! Look no further. Access is via large wooden staircase. The views are very similar to other scenic viewpoints between Depoe Bay and Newport . .awesome views . .all "10" . . .buttttt the walk south on the beach is special . . Few tourists will take the time to descend the staircase to the beach. . .... More

If the tide is out you can hike down a enter the punch bowl and beach comb which is pretty cool. On the opposite side you can do some surfing. Its not for of the highway so I would recommend making it a stop.

Words simply cannot do justice to not only what you view, but just the experience itself. I would definitely make it a point to visit here if you are in the Newport area. Worth it!

Small picnic area. Small Mo's restaurant and other assorted small shops, situated with a view of a wild hollowed-out rock formation below. But the best thing of all is the trail leading down to the 'hole' itself. Moss-covered boulders, caves, and eventually the grand entrance itself into the bowl at low tide. Nothing like it. Really. Worthy of a scene... More

We stopped here and initially were distracted by the other amazing views and on our way back to the parking lot we happened to look down and only then saw the "Punch Bowl"! It is quite close to the parking lot, so don't miss it! The views out from the top were just phenomenal. The weather was quite stormy and... More

A must see if you are in the Newport, OR area! My only regret is not going down to the beach to get inside the punchbowl.
