This is a great thing to look down and see - wonderful nature. But if you can - go at minus tide and you can make it into the punch bowl for a really unique and beautiful experience.

Located a mere one-quarter mile west of US Highway 101 five miles south of Depoe Bay and eight miles north of Newport, Oregon, this not-to-be-missed attraction is part of the Otter Rock community. Theories abound involving this site's creation. The idea of either one cave or two caves collapsing in makes the most sense. Be aware of the tides. From... More

We saw whales way out! The wind was blowing and the sun was shining. So beautiful! I loved that there was parking and bathrooms. The cute little wine shop was a fun place to look around. We had a great time!

Devil's Punch Bowl is a unique natural topless cave that will wow you as the ocean waters cascade in with the tides. It is a picturesque viewpoint of north and south along the coast. The view of the bowl is easily seen from the parking lot, and just east is the park with picnic tables and restrooms. Worth the stop.

It is right beside the parking lot. A big cauldron of a hole made by waves and nature. To the left, take the path for beautiful breathtaking views towards Newport. Great photo ops.

To sum it up nice and exact. This place is awesome. A must stop to anyone on a scenic drive. I can't believe we have not stopped on other road trips.

I came from Florence in the south for a day trip in my car (no RV's on the Otter Road). So I passed by the first entrance to the punch bowl and continued a few miles north to access the one-way, Otter Crest Loop at 129.8 miles. I've been using a free Mile-by-Mile guide available at visitor centers and hotels... More

You can park right next to it, and its right along the highway, so make a stop, you wont regret it. You can also see Otter Rock.

Plenty of parking and picnic tables to sit and rest and enjoy the wonderful view. There is a long path to follow and the view of the Devil's punch Bowl gets better and better. You also get a good view of the surfers catching waves on the beach. It only takes 5 or 10 min to see but worth the... More

It was really fun to watch the surfers. Go when the tide is out, so you can explore the tidal pools- rock fish, crabs, sea anemones, starfish- very cool. Look around for a couple different beach access points. The access point with the stairs is the most popular with the surfers. You can get to the other side of the... More
