Great sandy beach, can get a little windy. We had the best luck midday at low tide. Also, it can get a bit stinky closer to high tide. There are some great rocks for tide pool searching at low tide as well. It creates a natural little pool for kids to play in away from the big waves which is... More

The beach itself looked great! And there were tons of cute little motels and cafes, but there are only a handful of shops and very spread out, and it's more artsy/gallery stuff that is expensive... Didn't feel very fun- kind of boring 😕

Beach was nice and very clean. Sand was warm and water was cool. Don't forget your sun-screen and flip-flops.

It's been years since a walk anywhere along the Oregon Coast. After lunch at Rogue's we took a walk with 2 dogs and met many more. I loved the typical Oregon fog and mild weather (especially since Portland was at 90+.) We spoke with many other dog walkers and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon escape. Good parking, nice facilities, and doggy... More

This beach has some reef rocks at low tide that are full of mussels, clams and other sea life in the tide pools. Overall, there are a lot of beached jelly fish. They tend to smell quite strong by the time the high tide is back on shore. There were a lot of people flying kites on this windy beach... More

We have visited the Newport area before and made a point to return. We did not know about Nye Beach until we spent the night at The Inn at Nye Beach. The beach is quiet, beautiful, and surrounded by quaint shops and restaurants. It is not as busy as downtown Newport, and we loved Nye Beach for this reason.

Spend a few hours wandering around the shops and restaurants in this historic area.....we went twice!! Lots of cute shops and a lovely Art Center....the shop owners welcome browsers, but don't be surprised if you come home with a few fun things like we did!!

A great little place to have a picnic and get a good view of the cost .A coat is advisable. Watch the clouds and the sun pass by! Good time! On to the next overlook!
