Nice small area with a few shops and some cafe's. Lost of beach area to look around too. Lots of tourists of course but still a nice clean slice of Oregon Coast life

Great place to shop for eclectic items. There are a few really good places to eat here. A few good book stores too. The beach access is easy and provides for a level beach walking.

Very flat beach so you can easily keep an eye on your kids while you chill! Also, excellent walking distance to great eateries and shopping.

A great beach for a long walk. So clean. We went in June 2014. Walking ( or running) is easy because it's hard packed and flat. Beautiful, especially, when you focus seaward.

Beachside tchotchkes are everywhere among what are attempts at art galleries. Bars of dubious style litter the tiny several blocks that make up this area in Newport. This ain't Carmel or even Lincoln City. It is disappointing since the location is very nice. As one reviewer notes, "lots of strange little shops." Enough said. Spend your time down at the... More

Lots of strange little shops and excellent restaurants including dress shops, beach collectibles, tea and wine, Bakery. just a lot of fun for window shopping and people watching. The chowder bowl has great clam chowder and seafood, Café Mundo also has good food and occasional entertainment. you cant ask for a better 2 hour diversion during a weekend at the... More

Lots of little shops and restaurants with a well maintained beach area. 3 bookstores! A little hilly, so wear comfortable shoes.

I can't recommend doing a whole lot here outside of walking the beach for a few miles. The walk, at least, is relaxing, and gets a good feeling of exercise into play. Other than that, the parking sucks. The beach is dirty. There is runoff from the city, that could be from the sewer, that divides the beach into two... More

We enjoyed the scenery even from a distance. Lunch at the Chowder Bowl was delicious. The atmosphere of the whole area was friendly and welcoming. We would like to go again and do more exploring.

Within a several block radius there is an amazing selection of restaurants, coffee houses, galleries, shopping, museum, performances and of course the beach! You can spend several days here exploring what Nye Beach has to offer and still look forward to the next visit.
