If you enjoy an old town, historical feel close to a great beach and the ocean, you'll enjoy this "delicious" district. We enjoy breakfast or lunch at the Nye Beach Cafe. The ingredients, care, omelets, homemade biscuits and superb menu bring us back every week. If you like good Irish food we heartily recommend Nana's Irish Pub. Both Nana's and... More

Great little area of Newport tuck away from the main drag and the hustle and bustle of the bay front area. Some great little shops and eateries.

Lots of parking and easy walking access to restaurants, shops and flat beach/ocean area. There's also a free art gallery and a boardwalk area if you don't want to go all the way onto the beach.

Very nice place, too nice for me, I prefer traditional beach shops with reasonably priced souvenirs, rather than worrying that I might bump into some glass sculpture that costs hundreds of dollars. I hate feeling like I'm being watched while in a store and did not find much to my liking to browse. My husband on the other hand loves... More

My wife and I went to Newport for our honeymoon. We spent allot of time on Nye beach, we were ready to quit our jobs and move, that's how much we love it.

We always eat at The Chowder Bowl. There are lots of fun shops to explore. Great beach access and plenty of free parking. There are several places to stay in this area and you are able to walk everywhere. The next time we visit we would like to rent some bicycles and explore some more.

We stayed at the Sylvia Beach Hotel and had easy access to Nye Beach and the beautiful views to the Pacific and toward the Yaquina Outstanding Natural Area visible in the distance with a lighthouse at the end of it. Not many people there and it was magical to enjoy the wind, waves, driftwood, shells and sunshine.

Free parking at the beach. Public restrooms close by. Miles of beach to enjoy. Several restaurants in the area several with water view. Art shops, and other mid to higher end shopping.
