This quiet Vietnam war memorial is isolated and small, but perhaps more moving as a result. You can't miss it if you are staying in this area, since it is the only pathway down to the beach. Take a moment to walk into the memorial itself and reflect.

This little park has a beautiful pathway down to the beach. The park has nice facilities and is great for enjoying the view or hiking down to the beach. There is a fairly steep incline on the way down to the beach, but the the pathway is maintained well.

We stumbled on this one while checking out public art. There were a few pieces there, including parts of a whale skeleton and an interesting native narrative engraved into granite with it. There were a couple of other artworks just across the street at the performing arts center. Worthy of a stop for photos. Not sure how big the part... More

This is a beautiful place to picnic and watch the waves roll in. Easy access to gorgeous beaches to walk. No shells to find but plenty of driftwood and stones. Many miles of beach to enjoy. The park has a couple of pieces of art and nice restroom facilities.

As we traveled from the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse past the Fisherman's Memorial we stumbled upon this very nice and quiet beach. You can see Yaquina Head in the far distance and a beauiful beach spans the horizon. There is a beach just before the steep path down to the beach where you can just sit and take in the beauty.... Stumbled onto this park while exploring the area, like the rest of the area, it was nice and quiet, wonderful little place to visit.

This is a nice place to access the beach just south of Nye Beach. It's a bit of a steep climb down, particularly at the bottom, but once you're on the beach you can walk all the way to the jetty. The beach is wide. Given what could have happened years ago, many thanks to the City of Newport for... More

I love to just park in the lot or beside the road and look at the view. You can see the lighthouse and most of the beach. Beautiful views. Easy trail to the beach and right in the middle of town. Love it.

Panoramic view area with a glass enclosed building for when the weather is not so dry. Parking is easy and a family friendly place.
