Description: We are a friendly, family owned and operated office offering premium ocean...
We are a friendly, family owned and operated office offering premium ocean sport fishing charters for Albacore Tuna, Rockfish, Halibut, and Salmon. Rockfishing trips are available year-round, but Tuna, Halibut, and Salmon keep us very busy from May through September. We do not overcrowd our boats and have a maximum load of 15 fisherman for Rockfish, 12 for Halibut and Salmon, and 10 for Tuna. Private parties may bring as few or as many people desired up to 30. We run two twin 43ft. Deltas, the Crackerjack and Gracie K and we're located right next to the Embarcadero Resort Hotel in Newport.

I booked a halibut fishing trip with Yaquina Bay charters in June 2015. Unfortunately after a long trip out the rough seas only allowed us to fish for about an hour; only one halibut was caught and we were forced to come back early. The crew and staff were extremely hardworking and cool and they refunded all but $50 of... More

I fished with this crew yesterday and had a great time, the fishing was excellent the weather was beautiful the crew worked hard and we filled up with crab on the way home. I have fished extensively in Far North Queensland Australia which is renowned for the quality of its fishing and have not had a better day on the... More

April 3, 2015 My wife and I went bottom fishing on the Crackerjack. Captain Jack got us on fish quickly. He had to work hard as conditions deteriorated. He still managed to keep us on fish for the whole trip. I was most impressed with our deckhand, Brandon. I have never seen a deckhand work harder! He was constantly in... More

Captain Shannon was awesome. 5 hour bottom fishing. Only six fisherman on the boat. Everyone caught their limit Ling Cod and Rock Fish. Deck hand Cole was super nice and helpful. Best charter trip I've ever had!

On a whim, I decided to go to Newport and go salmon and bottom fishing. I booked a 10 hour trip. The booking was easy and they let me know what to bring. I was by myself and there were 10 others fishing, too. I've been on many charters but this one ranked among the best. The ocean was rough... More

Based on the great time we had last year (see our Aug 2013 review), we rebooked with Yaquina Bay Charters. As others have written, Captain Jack & deckhand Brandon aboard CrackerJack ensured we had a superb 1/2 day bottom fishing event. The arrival process & humorous time aboard was a perfect way to spend with family members. Although the boat... More

My family of 4 had a great time on our rock bottom fishing trip. The captain and his deck hand made for a very fun and successful fishing trip. Deck hand Brandon was awesome attending quick to everyone's needs and making sure everyone was having a great time. Very reasonable prices and they made checking in and getting our licenses... More
