This was a beautiful place to stop. Lots of rocks, shells, and amazing photo locations. We could have spent several hours here but realized there were many more beaches and view spots to explore.

The beach area is expansive. The best time to walk on the beach is in the morning before the wind picks up. It was great fun and the dogs and a wonderful time running around.

This was our first night of our trip in a 25ft class C RV. Sites well placed, clean and easy to manoeuvre. Nice quiet spot and easy reach of the Rogue Brewery. Great trails on foot and on bike

This was a very large park with a lot of sites. However, there must not have been quite enough places for people to camp, as many sites had multiple tents/rv's and more than one or two cars. I felt like I was in a tent city. Be careful driving through the campground as kids are not supervised! Crazy to see... More

Stayed here for a couple nights with a group of friends. The trailer spaces seemed close together but we were tent camping at the back of the campground so this wasn't an issue for us. Spaces were very large and open with plenty of trees nearby for the kids to play around. Bathrooms/showers were very nice and clean. Best of... More

We stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave. The park hosts were all super friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the trails were great! Of course, the best part was the beautiful beach which was just a short walk away! Our only complaint was the lack of overflow parking

A visit to South Beach State Park should be on the agenda when visiting Newport Oregon. Long stretches of sandy beach.

HUGE park, packed full. It's so big, that the farther in back we drove, the more uncomfortable we felt. Also, the further back you camp, the longer it takes to walk to the path that also increases in length to get to the beach. The Rangers were pleasant, and it must be popular because it was full, but we won't... More
