Too far from ocean (1 mike walk). You can drive to a parking lot and walk over the dunes that isn't far but we were spoiled after staying at Cape Lookout by Tillamook. No privacy in camp sites. Noisy construction going on next to campgrounds starting early morning. Can hear sirens from town.

Great family friendly beach, lots of parking, large expansive sandy area to play and enjoy. Just south of the town itself so it's away from all the tourist traffic. Worth the time to enjoy the beach

Beautiful beach area! Great for beachcombing and tidepooling. I love to fly kites here while I walk along in the surf.

South Beach is the perfect place to walk your Golden Retriever with countless trails, acres of trees͵ and a huge beach! Clean and peaceful with very few other people and dogs!

First time visiting this camp ground. Very clean as you would expect for a state park but the grounds were very dry and dying.

We camped in the park, in our Class C RV mid week. The entire park is exceptionally clean. We took advantage of the showers, which were always clean and available. Sites were fairly level and paved and roomy with picnic table and fire pit. Many had shade trees. There were several play areas for children including open grassy fields, horseshoes,... More

.Great state park to stay in. Its very pretty, well kept. Rangers are all really nice. You will have a longer walk to the beach though.

We stayed in a yurt. It was great. It had electricity plugs and light. There was enough sleeping for 6-7 ppl. A nice deck and fire pit. Bathrooms and showers. An easy trail to the beach. We stayed in April and it was very empty.

We made reservations to camp at this campground for $21 plus $8 dollars to reserve a spot online. We checked in at 3pm and the lady at the desk was friendly. The campground was about 30 minutes from the Yaquina Natural Area where we were going to spend the day. The campground was clean with a good amount of trees... More
