Clean beach

Finally a big beautiful beach that is not covered in garbage. Big waves and surfers to watch. Lots of sand dollars on the beach as well

Get on your shoes, flip flops, water socks. This is worth the drive out and the walk to this wonderful large and not too much access by people to this beach. Located on the South Jetty, this beach is one you want to pack a picnic lunch, small tent, and fishing poles. Fun for the kids as well as the... More

The ocean is just a small walk away from the sites. The sites are well kept. Each has a bonfire pit. We tent camped and while the sites were a bit sandy, they were quite nice, roomy and pretty. Our site backed up to woods and was next to one of the many paths that lead to the ocean. The... More

It was clean, beautiful and less crowded. Metered parking was close by and there were lifeguard stands.

Not one to go to State Parks but I ran into some friends while crabbing nearby on the Newport Pier and they invited over and I stayed the night . Close to the ocean naturally and the sound of the ocean is relaxing but you can hear that anywhere in Newport , from Newport to Florence , Oregon there are... More

There is a new section for tent sites in this campground, and they're quite nice. They are nicely spaced, so you won't be on top one another. The sites are away from the noisy RV section. The restroom building is a bit of a walk, but it's brand new and has showers. The beach is a bit of a huff... More

Every year we come to South Beach State Park in Oregon with my grandparents! We have a pretty good sized rv so it's nice when the spots are big and very roomy for a pretty big trailer or rv. This place also has yurts if you do not want to camp. There is a park in the middle of the... More

Stunning Pacific Ocean with wide clean beach, perfect for playing, walking, running, or meditating. Not too crowded. Beautiful views

This is an OK campground. I stayed in a yurt on the outer part of the loop and had some nice trees and bushes behind me for privacy. I had to change to another yurt the next night due to availability. What a difference being on the inside of the loop. No trees or bushes so no privacy. The buoy... More

Lots of beach to walk and plenty of agates to find. Access to the beach from several entry points as well as from the camp ground.
