The deckhand, Noah, made the experience really awesome, and exciting. Plus he had a really nice butt.

I booked a tuna trip with Captains reel. They called the day before and told me the boat had a mechanical failure. I did not have time to postpone, so I booked on a Rockfish trip instead. They threw in crabbing for the inconvenience. The people there were all very friendly and felt bad. It was a good trip, the... More

What an awesome adventure we had not only once but TWICE in one week with Captain Jerald and deck hand Noah. My friend and I came to Newport excited to go out on a fishing trip and were recommended to use Captain's and couldn't have been more pleased. We limited on rock fish and crab our first day and then... More

I reserved a half day Salmon Fishing Tour for the next day. When I got there I learned that there was only rock fishing on that day. The lady checked her list and found me and told me that I was already there (?!). One hour driving for nothing. As there is at least one comment reporting a comparable experience... More

We went salmon fishing last week. I called in to reserve a combination of salmon fishing and crabbing but the waters near Newport were not good for salmon fishing so he had to travel so far that we had no time for crabbing, which was disappointing. Had I known that I would not have reserved the trip. We traveled about... More

The captain and deck hand were both kind and professional, but I would not recommend this trip. I was told the afternoon trips are as bountiful as the morning trips. If so, we were catching fish for only one hour of the six hour trip. My two blue bass were so small, I didn't want waste my time with fillets.... More
