No crowds!

Great beach to walk if you prefer no crowds. There are also picnic tables. We found a few agates and fossils.

Even in the rain we got out of our car to take pictures. The view is beautiful any time of the year.

The bridge over the creek is very beautiful and allows those with handicaps such as a wheelchair or scooter to observe an wide array of birds.

Nice place to take a break or walk to the beach. Right on Hwy 101. Not for RV's as is just a small parking lot but nice to stop and look at the waves with no view obstructions.

Lost Creek State Park is yet another small state park along the coast. Like the rest, it makes for a nice beach area to enjoy the ocean. It doesn't have a standout attraction like Seal Rock, but it would still be worth the time to take a break if need be. The path down is very short and simple. If... More

The windswept trees make a pretty backdrop for pictures and the beach is very nice. Good place to take a quick break from the coastal drive.

If you are looking for a less crowded beach in the Newport area, Lost Creek State Park is a great place. It is a short walk downhill from the parking lot to the beach, and is not overly strenuous. This beach can be a great place to hunt for agates especially during the winter.

We enjoyed the rock hounding here. If you stop during lunch time, have a picnic at one of the tables, lots of trees and a handy bathroom.

I go quite often as we have a place nearby. The garbage cans are usually overflowing. The bathrooms are dirty. They took out the grills from the picnic areas.

This is a pleasant small State Park, located about six miles south of Newport on Hwy 101. The parking area looks directly out onto the ocean, so if the weather is bad, you can sit and watch the waves without getting wet. There are restrooms and a few picnic tables, and a short walk down a slight hill brings you... More
