The Oregon Coast Aquarium was fun and very interesting. It took us about 2 hours to go through mainly because it was raining outside, so we hurried through the outside exhibits. The touch pool was great! It allowed us to touch animals you don't normally see in the tidal pools. A little expensive but our hotel had discount coupons. Overall,... More

The aquarium is a very nice facility with quite a number of interesting things to see. However, it only takes about 1 1/2 hours to see everything whch means that the admission price is too high. Even stopping to see 2 feedings, spending time at the touch pool, and getting good information about the otters from a knowledgable volunteer didn't... More

It cost me $50 to take my 5 year old son and his Grandma to this aquarium on Friday. We literally saw everything there was to see in half an hour, maybe 45 mins. They really need to consider expansion of their exhibits or quit charging so much! Take my advice, visit the Hatfield Marine Science Center next door. It's... More

The Sea Otters were my favorite. We got there for feeding time. Also -- the world's largest crab species is something to look for. You'll need about 2 hours to get around the whole place, maybe a bit longer.

I guess I am pretty spoiled after having lived near The Monterey Bay Aquarium all my life and I wasn't really impressed with the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The cost was far more than what you get in return with less than 10 exhibits. This is a good place for younger children though as the learning level was definitely younger than... More

This is one of the better aquariums that we have come across in a long time. We went with my parents who also enjoyed themselves. This will be on our list of things to do for our next trip to the coast!

Grounds very well kept. Feeding of the otters and seals was well explained and interesting. Great chance to see sea creatures close up. A little spendy but worth the visit.

When some family members brought me to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, I really wasn't expecting much. An Aquarium. What more was I going to see that I had not already been exposed to? I live near Baltimore's National Aquarium and am fairly spoiled when visiting a similar venue. The path in transforms your perceptions from the black top world we... More

We recently visited (April, 2013) the aquarium on a visit to the central coast. We've visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium on several occasions and have really enjoyed it, but we weren't sure what to expect in Newport, OR. We were, however, pleasantly surprised. The walk-through fish tanks were well done, easy to see the many inhabitants, up-close and personal. We... More

The three tunnels where you're surrounded on all side by fish including shark is a real treat! And the otters are so cute...
