At Raptor Ridge, our winemaking goal is to capture the fresh fruit flavors and delicate aromas offered by Oregon's Willamette Valley winegrowing region. Raptor Ridge Pinot noir ages in French oak and is racked in synchrony with the dark of the moon. Raptor Ridge Pinot gris is made in a refreshing Alsacian style. Raptor Ridge shares a 27-acre estate with families of Raptors — birds of prey such as Red-tailed Hawks, Kestrels, Sharp-Shinned Hawks and Owls. We are located on the northeast side of the Chehalem Mountains, 10 miles north of Newberg, Oregon.

We visited Raptor Ridge while touring Oregon Wine Country. Very good wine including Pinot Noirs. They also had a very interesting Gruner Veltliner, which is a rare find. Good service, and a beautiful view. We bought several bottles to take home to MD. Recommended if you are in the Newberg area!

A little funkier and lower key than some of the other wineries, but staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, pours were generous and there's some interesting art. The label of each variety feature a feather of a different raptor. Many of the wines are a bit less expensive than at some of the other wineries, just fine for everyday drinking. And... More

Where else can you enjoy a marvelous glass of wine and see a bald eagle! Perfect name for the winery and vineyard.

Great view. Saw an eagle and several raptors. Oh yes, the wine was very nice. A bit on the expensive side for most ($50) but worth the money, I think. Might be my next wine club..

when you're in wine country, you have to find the extra "thing" besides the (Pinot) wine and at Raptor Ridge it's the view! The wines were good too! The lady running the tasting room was friendly, courteous and just a lot of fun to hang out with for an hour or so. There was no feeling of being rushed through... More

In the northern part of the valley, a very quick run from Portland. Nice view, nice tasting room set-up. We'd been here 3-4 years prior and decided to revisit. $15 for a tasting (Pinto Gris, 4 or 5 Pinot Noirs, 1 tempranillo). Fee waived with $50 purchase. Most bottles run $45. High quality. The young lady assisting us was personable,... More

Had tasted their pinot noir a couple of years ago and made a visit to the winery a high priority during a recent trip to Oregon. Leslie was a wonderful "host" - answered all of our questions and gave us some great tips on lunch and some other local attractions. The views were wonderful. Oh yeah, the wines... very, very... Hands down the winery that inpressed me the most during my weeklong visit to Willamette Valley. The Pinot noirs had great balance making them enjoyable from the first sip but never boring. These wines had the complexity of a good mystery novel - the type that makes you stay up way past bedtime the reach the end. My kudos for... More

Nice views and soaring hawks make this a relaxing place to visit. None of that would matter much if the wine wasn't good. Fortunately, it is quite good, especially the Pinots.
