So let me say first that I'm a huge fan of A to Z, especially the Pinot. The winery is picturesque, like many in Yamhill County. They've added on a lot recently - it's really turning into quite a production site. I think our main beef was the place was swarming with wasps on the outside - and, to be... More

I was able to get the full tour and it was stunning. O.K. Napa Valley and Temecula close by and growing up with German wines... More

Perhaps the first winery on hwy 99 wine route, this one is just off the highway , making it a very easy stop. We visited briefly , did not do any tasting, but did find the tasting room welcoming. A to Z Pinot noir is a wine we had numerous times, has good value. We plan on trying the other... More

we went because we only had a few hours and they open early-- glad we did! Learned a lot and very nice wine. They sell their lower A-Z line but were only tasting Rex Hill the day we were there. Fine with me.

Rex Hill produces high quality wine (in a state of lots of high quality wines). The tasting room staff is most professional. Delightful experience. There is a $10 tasting fee, but that's absorbed in your purchase.

What Rex Hill lacks in location (no stunning hilltop setting, just a highway location near Newberg) is more than made up with an attractive tasting room, some interesting wine accessories available for purchase and knowledgable and friendly staff. We arrived early on a Sunday morning and had the tasting counter to ourselves. Herbert proved to be a fabulous host taking... More

We traveled through wine country around Newberg on our way from Portland to the Bay Area. The Rex Hill pinot noirs are silky smooth. Highly recommended. And the staff knows their wine, so they are fun to visit.

I first tried their lowest price point Pinot in Cannon Beach and thought it was solid, so we decided to stop by for a tasting when we were in Newberg. The price points were a bit high for Pinot but they were so smooth! I even liked their Chardonnay and I normally am not a Chardonnay fan at all. I... More

I've enjoyed drinking Rex Hill for sometime so when my husband and I realized we were close to the winery while in Portland we jumped at the chance to go. We were not disappointed! We even joined the wine club which I usually never do!

We had a quick stop but loved he environment. It was lovely inside the tasting room since it was converted from hazelnut drying ovens. Outside, you could see the vines and some nice landscaped areas. The Pinot noirs were subtle and smooth. We also loved their Chardonnay which was done in concrete barrels. Ended up making several purchases!
