Description: Colene Clemens Vineyards is characterized by steep, rocky, south-facing...
Colene Clemens Vineyards is characterized by steep, rocky, south-facing slopes, an array of Pinot-friendly soils and a handful of carefully selected clones. Owners Joe and Vicki Stark enjoy a collaborative effort with their talented and dedicated winemaker and vineyard manager Stephen Goff. No compromise has been made in an all-out effort to produce the finest estate Pinot Noir possible. Farming practices, which include the use of organic compost, extreme fruit thinning and leaf removal as needed are matched equally by meticulous, Old World winemaking techniques. The beautiful but efficient state of the art winery sits atop the property overlooking the vineyards, the valley far below, Bald Peak above and the Coast Range far to the west.

Colene Clemens was our group's first stop on our tour with Backroads. After several winding roads and curves, we arrived to see this amazing, Italian-esque view of the vineyards. The tasting room was warm & welcoming...they had a fire going when we arrived. For $12/person, you get four pours, one rosé and three Pinot Noirs...collectively, our group preferred the Adriane... We really enjoyed our time at this winery. Our B&B innkeepers recommended it , and we were glad we went. The inside hostess was a stand-in for her friend who was on vacation, and she was most gracious. The view on a warm, sunny September day from the outside patio was gorgeous eye-candy. During our self-guided tour days we kept... More

The location of this winery is beyond beautiful. For $12 you get 4 pours - the first one, a rose was my favorite. (and previous to this I was not a big Rose fan) On a day with good weather (as we did) you can sit out on the patio and the staff will come out and pour your next... More

Overall the place is just perfect. Staff was super friendly. Location is so very scenic. Wines were delicious and not too young to be tasting like some of the other places we visited. We truly enjoyed our time here. Sitting by fireplace and tasting some great wines was awesome.

The wine was very good!! The winery was off the beaten path and was recommended by another winery. The views unbelievable. A great place to take some cheese and just relax with your wine.

We love this winery. It is a perfect spot for a quiet picnic and wonderful wine tasting with beautiful views of the Chehalem Ridge to the east and the coastal range to the west. Love the rosé, chardonnay and array of pinot noir.

First, I do not drink wine, but I will certainly consider it the next time. Second, get directions to this place and print them, it has a dirt road and many may have given up, but the jewel is there within reach, don't stop! Okay, my wife and I cut a trip short near the waterfalls hours east to make... More

A group of 10n of us set out on a day of wine tasting. We stopped at Colene Clemens and had a lovely stop. The day was sunny so we sat outside on the patio overlooking the vines and had a lovely time. We enjoyed talking to Erin and learning about the vineyard. It was one of our better stops... More
