Our family of 14, grandparents to a 6 year old and all the ages in between, had the time of our lives on our 3 day raft trip with the Orange Torpedo crew. Everyone had exactly what they needed, plenty of wild, beautiful scenery and wildlife spotting, comfortable accommodations, great food, and the complete confidence that the guides knew just... More

Orange Torpedo trips are the best you can find for the Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue River. These trips are lodge trips. This is nice way to go if you are not into rough camping. Your trips starts with a briefing from the excellent guides.(Out of the 5 guides on our trip 4 of them are school teachers.... More

This was our (wife and I) fourth time rafting on the river with the crew (the guides) of the Orange Torpedo based in Merlin, OR. Before I talk about our experience on the river, I wish to say how impressed we were with the young, very experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly crew of this company. In our group beside the two... Orange Torpedo guides are number UNO! Knowledgeable, skilled, perpared, and fun. The Salmon River Legacy Lodge trip met and exceeded my expectations; exhilarating days on the river, hospitable evenings in the lodges.

We had an extra day in Southern Oregon, and decided to book a 1/2 day river trip. Staff handled our late request, and new just how to advise us when the GPS led us astray from the meeting place. Our guide was experienced, capable and friendly. We had never been rafting, but had no worries through the short class three... More

Went on the main Salmon with group of friends (most were fit, 50, and inexperienced). The guides were great - friendly in camp, professional on the water. It was challenging, but doable. Had a blast.

It was such a blast to have a bunch of knowledgeable, talented, and up-beat people take care of all the details as we covered about 35 miles of the Lower Klamath over three days. The one-person torpedoes were in near-new condition and the rest of their gear (tents, chairs, etc.) was adequate or better. The guides were fun and easy-going,... More

Glad to hear you had such a great time rafting the Klamath River. Thank you for the kind words. If you loved the Klamath but want some bigger waves, next time check out the Lower Salmon in Idaho. Basically the Klamath, but bigger! Best Regards, Erik and the rest of the OTT Family. More

This was our first rafting trip and we decided to choose half day nugget falls trip. The staff was very friendly and our guide Brian was super fun. He gave us all the basic tips and explained the rules before the trip. He made sure we enjoyed the rapids and made us experience the thrill by going against the tide... More

Family with teens who have 10+ white water experiences and this was very well done. Safe, lots of fun for all. Due to summer river conditions, we did the inflatable "orange torpedo" kayaks and it made the trip.

Thanks for the kind words. Great to hear you tried the inflatable kayaks. We really believe they are THE way to go down the river. That's why we were the first in the world to do them. Hopefully we get to see you again, perhaps on a bit longer trip, maybe a couple days on the Klamath or Salmon river... More

Thanks so much for the kind words. If you want something a little harder, next time checkout the North Umpqua River. Arguably the best single day of rafting in the state of Oregon. Lots of great rapids, beautiful scenery, really the works. We hope to see you again soon. Have a great rest of your summer. Best regards, Erik and... More
