You go on a bus from the small Mall in Medford to the plant where they prepare all the packages of fruits & chocolates, etc. You can smell the chocolate as you come into the building. You have a docent that takes you on about a one hour tour. She shows you all the goodies that are packed to be... More

This is the first factory tour we've been to that charges for it. You do get a $5 coupon and a tiny gift box containing two truffles after the tour; it was just off-putting and we almost skipped it. I didn't see anyone in our group tip the guide after the tour; probably because of the $5 charge. They run... More

I enjoying tour Harry and David. The best part however was shopping at their large store in Medford. They do take AAA discounts as well. The staff was nice here and mentioned it to me while I was making my purchases.

That said, you should be able to guess how much I was prepared to love this. It was July, and the busy season is December, so things were just warming up. The tour guide was friendly and helpful. We did see quite a bit of the packaging factory, which was interesting if not fascinating. There wasn't a lot going on... More

We made a tour reservation and we're told after paying while boarding bus that nothing was operational. I feel we should have been told that when we made the reservation or at least during payment

We took the tour of the packaging plant and the chocolate manufacturing plants. Met at large retail store and were driven on their bus to the packaging plant. Extremely large with many packaging lines. This was off season compared to increase of 8000 employee;s during the holiday season. Most packaging done by hand because of so many small production runs.... More

My husband and I enjoyed this facility tour even though it was Friday and most employees we off. Very large, modern informative and with a personal touch from the friendly tour guide/ bus driver. We thought it was worth the time. Your ticket turns into a $5 coupon at the store and you can also get a $10 coupon by... More

On a recent tour of Harry and David’s food gift basket factory in the small Oregon city of Medford, we learned they were just hiring 5000 ( YES 5,000) workers for the last quarter of the year to support the Christmas season sales season. The economic impact of this on the local economy is huge and consequently the local loyalty... More

The tour is a nice one-time thing to try; amazing how they put together the baskets and so forth. But the retail outlet is a place you will want to come back to as often as possible. Especially in January, when all the holiday stuff is really on sale! AND, you can buy Rogue Creamery cheese and Willamette Valley Vineyards... More
