Something great to do as a whole family. My young kids aged 6-8 years had fun as well as my father. There are fun educational games to keep young ones attention. There are short video clips and docents that are great for all to speak with for any questions or other great added commentary.

My family and I visited this attraction in McMinnville Oregon which is located between the Oregon Coast and Portland Ore. What a hidden treasure. There are four main buildings each between 3-4 acres of enclosed space. The main aviation attraction is the Spruce Goose which wing span covers more than the length of a football field. The tail is 8... More

I have travelled from Sydney Australia many times to the USA to attend Aircraft Museums and the Evergreen Aviation Museum is definitely up there within the top 5 or 6 Aviation Museums in the USA. Most definitely worth a visit, even 6000 miles for myself. Cheers Robert

This is such a great place to visit! The spruce goose is so huge. They have it set up so you can go inside it. For an extra fee they will let you tour it. A bit overpriced so we did not do that part. The space museum is also great. This is a good choice for all ages.

We landed at the airport across the street about an hour prior to closing time for the Museum. Upon arriving we saw the admission price was $25 which was a little steep for 1 hour of running around trying to see all the exhibits. As we entered the front desk gal told us to come on in as the last... More

We arrived about an hour before closing, just sort of stumbled onto while driving back from Salem, Oregon. We were able to tour the Spruce Goose and have our picture taken on the Flight Deck and talk to very informed volunteer staff. We had a wonderful hour. However if you plan on this your destination, I would allow maybe 4-6... More

Coming from an airline background of 34 years and 4 years in the Marine Corps Air Wings, I knew nothing could exceed (I thought) what I had seen at the Air & Space Museum in Washington D.C. until we visited McMinnville and this Evergreen Museum., It's amazing how they've put together such a rich display of both military and commercial... This place is much bigger than anticipated. We had some family in town, and had not visited this gem about an hour south of Portland ourselves, so we took a day trip. We found a Groupon that provided a small discount for 2 admissions. The grounds are expansive, so plan to make a day of it. There is information on... More

We were at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum for over 5 hours and we still did not see it all. This is the home of Howard Hughes' famous Spruce Goose, and this airplane is so large that you cannot get far enough back to get the whole thing in. The museum covers everything from the Wright Bros. to the... More

When my husband and I were in the Los Angeles area years ago, we decided to try and go see the Spruce Goose, which we thought was still in Long Beach. We were disappointed to find out it had been moved to Oregon. Many years later, we finally got to "go aboard" this mammoth plane, & take a private tour.... More
