Well worth the time. Learned about the early settlers and Indians. It brought back fond memories of earlier years visiting the area that is now Lincoln City. Nicely done displays with lots of items to view and interesting explanations.

As others have written, this is a surprisingly attractive, wide-ranging, interesting, well stocked and well arranged county historical museum. Even better, the volunteers who staff it clearly take pride in their community, their history and their museum. They are personable and informed. If you want to get a sense of Lincoln City and Lincoln County, pay a visit here and... More

It was free and was not expecting much but it both surprised and amazed us to the quality and amount of displayed items. The staff seem excited about being there to answer questions.

I've travelled to Lincoln City for over 50 years and never realized they had a wonderful historical museum full of exhibits that educate and entertain. As a child in the 1960's there was the Pixie Kitchen that was so memorable to me that they have an assortment of fun artifacts that I remembered. Unfortunately, the Pixie Kitchen burned down and... We have been to the Central coast several several times but never stopped here. Glad we did this time. The history of the area is very interesting. As usual the Indians were screwed and the whites took everything they could.

This is a very well done and interesting museum. The exhibits are interesting, well maintained and bring the history of the region to life in a personal way that should appeal to all ages. The first floor covers the time before automobiles and the upper floor more recent history. If you have been visiting the Oregon coast for many years,... More

Well organized and documented with a wide variety of exhibits. I especially appreciated the short, personal stories associated with the exhibits.

This was a huge surprise, my Wife and I tour the first floor and thought OK, this is it and then we noticed it had an upstairs. The upstairs was the highlight of the museum and don't miss it.

We spent some time at the Lincoln County Historical Museum, and really enjoyed the displays, artifacts, and all the interesting information. No charge, but they do take donations. A real gem for the area!

A history of the Oregon coast and specifically Lincoln County. I found it fascinating and step back in time to an earlier slower pace of life. It had aspects of days gone by that even I at 40 rembered as a child. And yes, it made me remember my grandparents. It felt great to go in and look back at... More
