The view is the best part

This is probably the prettiest winery I have ever visited. The building looks fresh and brand new and is very clean. It has sweeping, dramatic views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams... read more

Mt. Hood Winery boasts a building of newer construction that is all about the view. Whether you are inside or out there is no bad spot to sit if you want to gaze at the mountain while you taste some great wine made right there at the winery. We mostly tried the whites which were great, the Glacier topping that... More

Went to Mt. Hood Winery as part of our winery tour while visiting the area for a wedding. The tasting room is very nice and the views are incredible...it is worth a stop just for the view of Mt. Hood. The wines are good but not great. A $10 tasting isn't a bad price. We thought the wines were decent... More

Watered down, over priced wine at a tourist trap. The tasting was $10, but about $8 of that went right into the swill bucket. My partner did like the malbec rose for an easy summer drinking wine. The view was nice, but we had to drive too far off i-84 to be so disappointed.

We went here as part of tour of the local area. The place is extremely pretty with a great view but the wines are just OK. Not bad just OK. We had 3 whites and 3 reds and I paid for their Gewurztraminer. All 3 whites to me tasted the sames and the reds were fine but nothing special. When... More

Linda M. Mt. Hood Winery does not have a warm tasting room , air conditioned to a perfect 74 degrees, nor does it serve warm wines. They do not have a 2006 Barbera either. You must have visited a different winery but thought it was Mt. Hood Winery. Mt. Hood Winery is located on HWY 35 just past the turn... More

This was a very nice tasting room with a great outdoors and view. It was too hot to hang out side much, but it looked nice. The wine pourers seemed a little overwhelmed and didn't describe any of the wines. The wines were decent. We really enjoyed some of the unique Roses such as Malbec and Pinot Noir. These were... Excellent wine, a good variety of white and reds, pinots, a zin, syrah and grenache which were all enjoyable and a fabulous location to sit and taste wine or enjoy a glass looking at Mt. Hood.

The last week of June 2015, we rented bikes in downtown Hood River, and winery map in hand, struck out for a DIY tour. We took the back road to Mt. Hood Winery and were amply rewarded by tasting a lovely pinot gris, a malbec rose that will knock your biking socks off, a memorable Zinfandel and, of course, reserve... More

This is probably the prettiest winery I have ever visited. The building looks fresh and brand new and is very clean. It has sweeping, dramatic views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams making the view beyond incredible. However, the wines....were just okay. They seemed to have doubled their tasting fee from $5 to $10 for 5. The staff was... More

A great oasis after a day of exploring Mt Hood area. The Syrrah is special as is the Pinot Noir. A comfortable and friendly wine tasting pavilion. Servers are knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are competitive. Worth a visit
