I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I'm so happy I didn't take them to heart. My 3 year old grandson and I had the best time. I don't know who was more excited, him or me. This will definitely become a Holiday tradition. Thank you and your Polar Express staff and especially to Santa... More

We took the Polar Express and rode in the sky view parlor seating upstairs. It was totally worth the $58/ticket. Everyone gets a Polar Express commemorative hot chocolate mug and lots of room for the kids to move around and look out the window. We took the 4:30pm train which was perfect for the kids to see the scenery for... More

This was GREAT! Our two young children had an amazing time riding the train to the North Pole to pick up Santa! He visited every child on the train ride back and were given a special bell! Great time, defintiely worth the trip down from the Seattle area! Our kids are 3 and 5, probably wouldn't take ones much younger... More

some friends and I took our grandchildren on this to give them an experience to remember. instead it was very disappointing, the train was rickety, the so called Santa house in the middle of a field was not even decorated and the Santa and his "so called elves" looked like the just came out of the homeless camp that we... Thank you for joining us on the Polar Express aboard the Mt. Hood Railroad. I'm sorry you did not enjoy the event. We have been hosting this event for 10 years and continue to grow and learn. Our elf costumes are brand new and Santas suits are made by Mrs. Claus herself, with love and care. More

A great little train ride on a beautiful autumn day. Travelled outside the carriage all the way there and back. Switchbacks, great scenery and brilliant views of Mt Hood. Train was not full so this was a bonus - may not get the same experience if train is very full. Thoroughly recommend though.

Very. very excited about this trip. My kids first time on a train. When I looked this place up online, it said the train robbery train was old western, a gang of bandits get on and rob you. It said there was a sheriff, gamblers, and music entertainment. They made it sound great! I also called and asked if it... More

If you find yourself in the most gorgeous place in America--Hood River, you might want to take the nostasgic train trip with dinner (or brunch or just sight seeing). The train trip is wonderful for couples and family's--don't recommend for a single person, but you'd still have fun. Basically it's like flying first class within the trees and off-beaten paths... The trees are turning color, beautiful. The food was yummy and service out standing. Even the train robbery was a hoot. Parkdale, is sweet and the BBQ place smelled wonderful and if we hadn't been stuffed from the brunch know we would have eaten there. Next month the Polar Express trains start. Lovely relaxing day. Cheers
