The location/tasting room was on a golf course, a bit cozy with several people there. The wine was outstanding. Everything we tasted was worth a purchase. Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Even the Gewürztraminer was not sweet and excellent. Tasting fee waived with purchase, we walked out with 4 bottles. Pinot was a bit pricey, but it was excellent.

Phelps Creek had many Pinot's that were fairly good, but their "salesmanship" was off. It's hard to explain - they had the facts, but they seemed a bit aloof like here it is, take it or leave it. If you like Pinot wines (white and red), then you'd probably like the wine. However, their prices were the highest of the... More

The 7th winery we visited on this trip, tasting only the best Oregon has to offer. High quality wine, lovely, interesting people and if you opt for the winery tour and tasting (appt required), one of the most impressive views in the state.

Extremely well-run tasting room, adjacent to a very good restaurant. Excellent selection of wines, and most are absolutely first-rate. Only graded out to "4" because this area has a surfeit of fine vineyards. As the title indicates, the setting is utterly magnificent, with views of Mount Hood and environs.

We were exploring the area. Didn't see the sign to turn off main road to winery until too late. I'm so glad we turned around and found this place. Pleasant tasting room with knowledgeable staff. They are right off a beautiful golf course. Very nice wines. Just a little pricey. $10 for a tasting which is free with purchase of... More

Great people, great wine. Beautiful area. Glad they ship to our state! Right down the road from the aviation and auto museum.

The tasting room is in a pleasant location, next to a restaurant and golf course, with beautiful views. We stopped, family and friends for their wine tasting. They were a little more expensive than other wineries in the area, but the rooms were quiet which suited us that beautiful sunny day. They were proud to sample a recent Pinot Noir... More

Phelps Creek has a small tasting room so it can be a bit tight but the lovely wine and excellent service more than makes up for it. They have been my go to tasting location for family and friends when we are visiting Hood River.

I enjoyed my drive to Phelps Creek and thought the tasting room to be quite lovely, small and intimate. The set tasting flight highlighted a nice range of wines and I was glad to not have to choose a sampling from a large list as you frequently have to do at other wineries, because inevitably I want to try too... I was blown away by the wine here. Very little selection but who cares when everything is delicious. I purchased the SB and the Chardonnay. The reds were terrific but too pricey for me.
