I say it's the the perfect thing to do when it's your last day in Hood River because to do this first everything else would pale in comparison! We talked about it almost non-stop the whole ride home. The owner Margo couldn't be more accomadating, and our guides loved what they were doing and were extremely helpful in teaching us... More

Me and my wife rode with our daughter and it was perfect. We asked Margot to tailor our tour to cater for our different experience levels which was no problem. She is an excellent guide, very knowledgable and totally professional. We've ridden on many similar rides over the years and this was one of the best. Apache was my horse... More

What a way to spend Mother's Day! Riding through the incredible beauty of the Pacific Crest Trail near Hood River was an experience I treasure. The forest looked like fairy land. Margo is the kind of person who immediately feels like a friend, and as a solo traveler, this really added to my comfort. We stopped at the waterfall and... More

Our ride with Margo was a great experience. Despite a mid morning downpour we still went ahead on our ride with Margo being really flexible as to the weather. We got to see the Gorge from the top and to ride through the magical forests of the Pacific Northwest and made it back to our rental car about 2 minutes... More

This was by far the best horseback experience I have had. No gimmicks or dumb pack animals this was true western riding, along trails, and through streams. Apache was a great horse and we had a amazing time. Don't forget the guide was great too! Margo is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable guides, not only that but she... More

A ride with Margo from Double Mountain takes you through orchards or to waterfalls, with views of snow capped peaks and beauty that is almost impossible to describe. Her horses are docile and ready to go. All you need to do is show up and come along for the ride.

This was the best excursion of my trip. The horseback riding was so much fun and Margo did everything in her power to make sure the ride was everything I wanted it to be. This is the single best way to see the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge area and the Pacific Crest Trail!!!!!

We took a chance and dropped in to see if our experienced daughter could ride that same day. The owner, Margot was wonderfully accommodating and promised our daughter a horse just a few hours later. When we came back (went hiking to Look-out Mountain in the mean time), a horse was saddled up and ready to go. After a quick... More

Margo and Co. went above and beyond the call duty in accommodating us for my partner's 40th birthday horse ride. Since we were arriving from in Hood River by bus, Margo agreed to pick us up at the bus depot. She then drove us to get some lunch at a nearby supermarket before taking us to her farm. Before Margo... More

I had a great experience. Margo and her family were very friendly and kind. They made my first time riding a horse a great one! We had a really fun time, and she took the time to teach us about the horses.
